French Garlic Soup

I've been wanting to try this for months. Not very many people in my house were up for so much garlic. I finally got around to it today, and it is quite delicious. There is plenty of garlic flavor to use more flour and more water for a larger batch of soup (which I did), yet the garlic is not the overpowering flavor of raw garlic, but the milder, richer flavor of roasted garlic. This is a very tasty dish, and I look forward to more batches in the future.

Leasing would begin no sooner than 2012, and production would not be expected to start before 2017. [...] For the lower 48 OCS, annual crude oil production in 2030 is projected to be 7 percent higher. [...] Because oil prices are determined on the international market, however, any impact on average wellhead prices is expected to be insignificant."

There you have it: offshore drilling will have little effect on how much Americans pay for gas. If anything, it's a band-aid for the deep wound of petroleum consumption.

At first I was uninterested, as I've seen this same setup a few times already. It was nothing new, and I already knew someone in an animal suit would be walking across.

Then it became a cycling awareness advert.

Having been overlooked by motorists while cycling vehicularly myself, I'm glad someone is promoting this awareness.
