Someone asked me yesterday: "Who do you think the bell tolls for?". My answer didn't make much sense, as I was drunk, and now it makes less sense. I said: "it tolls for me, 'cause when you're drunk all bells toll for you." It ocurred just now that the bells toll for everything, all the time, alcohol or no alcohol. And - here's the lysergic part - if the world and all the things in it form an entity that is starting to acquire self consciousness, as GM sez, one could say that it tolls for itself. No charges for de Menezes field officers

"The frontline firearms and surveillance officers involved in the shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes at Stockwell tube station will not face a disciplinary tribunal, the police watchdog announced today.
The decision affects 11 of the 15 officers under investigation for the killing of the innocent Brazilian electrician on July 22 2005."
