A wiki & bbs devoted to eventually creating the definitive appropriate technology DIY manual. Our goal is to document ever step of the 21st century industrial tool chain starting from scratch, but for v1.0 we will be focusing on renewable energy systems. If there is only one book you'll want to have when stranded on a deserted island, it will be this one.

A Russian-language comic-book webzine named "Komiksalyet", which roughly translates into "Comixoplane" or something. They have an English version of the website too apparently. The Russian part is Cyrillic Windows encoding on IE. Anyway, the quality of the art is excellent, though the site is slow. They have a freaky, freaky comic strip about Hitler fighting Stalin one-on-one using their superpowers. I *think* it's supposed to be satire and allegory, but who knows.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS SITE. USE TRIBE.NET INSTEAD!!

I take back my earlier glowing review of this site. They are control freak, humourless fascists. For the following reason:

1. Excessive zeal in deleting ANY photo that departs even slightly from their overbearing rules, no matter how innocent and artistic the departure may be.

2. Excessive zeal in deleting group accounts, concept accounts, fake celebrity accounts... any account that isn't a single, individual person under a single individual name.

3. No feature for creating interest group accounts.

4. Sometimes arbitrarily deleting accounts or pictures with no explanation or warning either to the owner of the account or that individual's friends.

5. Complete disregard for feedback from their users.

This is awesome! The non-fascist replacement for Friendster. If you're on Friendster migrate here and tell everyone you know on there to migrate too. This site allows groups.
