I've never really expressed discontent or anger towards anything here on StumbleUpon. My reactions to those who rant and rave about things here on this social network has always been --- if you don't like it, then don't use it.

Having said that, I am going to throw out a little rant and then decide if it bothers me enough to stop using StumbleUpon all together.

I would honestly like to know what the fuck is up with all the Woman's Day and BettyConfidential websites that are popping up all over my stumbles lately? Every other time I hit the stumble button, I'm faced with some useless piece of crap from one of these two sites. So I started looking at the review page to see exactly who is "discovering" all these pages so I could ban their stumbles from my own. Funny thing, though - nobody discovered them. And 99% of the time, nobody has even reviewed them. Just a bunch of people rating them with a thumbs up, which just confuses me because I don't understand why.

That's my little rant. Now I must assess the situation and figure out if I want to keep weeding through all the shit or just call it a day.
Have we not come to such an impasse in the modern world that we must love our enemies - or else? The chain reaction of evil - hate begetting hate, wars producing more wars - must be broken, or else we shall be plunged into the dark abyss of annihilation.

It's a new year and I am confused about the future of my world and the future of THE world as a whole. The emotions I am registering range from sadness, despair, hopelessness, fear, anger, regret, and more that I am incapable of pinning down at the moment.

Blame the dark and gloomy weather we've had of late.

Blame the amount of news that I've been ingesting.

Blame Israel. Blame Gaza. Blame Bush. Blame Wall Street. Blame Consumption. Blame Greed.

Hell, just blame my menstrual cycle.

Whatever is to blame, I feel like I am stuck in the dark. I know there's a crack where the light gets in somewhere. If you need me, I'll be the one crawling around on the floor searching for it.

The birds they sang
at the break of day
Start again
I heard them say
Don't dwell on what
has passed away
or what is yet to be.
Ah the wars they will
be fought again
The holy dove
She will be caught again
bought and sold
and bought again
the dove is never free.

Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in.

We asked for signs
the signs were sent:
the birth betrayed
the marriage spent
Yeah the widowhood
of every government --
signs for all to see.

I can't run no more
with that lawless crowd
while the killers in high places
say their prayers out loud.
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
a thundercloud
and they're going to hear from me.

Ring the bells that still can ring ...

You can add up the parts
but you won't have the sum
You can strike up the march,
there is no drum
Every heart, every heart
to love will come
but like a refugee.

Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in.
