Over the years I have worked to highlight thousands of other poets through my online efforts. I now need a favor. A friend has nominated me to become the next North Carolina Poet Laureate. I have no connections in the state capitol nor am I well known in North Carolina academic circles because... Well, because I was never an academic.

Anyway, my friend and I were thinking I don't really stand a chance but if perhaps enough people were to take the time to nominate me... Well, you know.

Just so you know I now donate 100% of my book sales to green non profits along with 100% of my online earnings and will continue to do so.

If you're not familier with my poetry you can find several years of my work at BloggingPoet.com.
As you may already know, 100% of my royalties from sales of books by Billy is destined to go to green nonprofits. (The Books by Billy store is powered by Amazon but because I live in North Carolina I'm no longer eligible for affiliate earnings.) My personal finances are in pretty good shape but sadly, the economy sucks and book sales are way down so I've decided to try and make some ways you can help contribute to green causes without spending your own money.

For starters: Each time someone downloads and installs the RecycleBills Tool Bar we earn $.58 cents. From now own 1/2 of that amount ($.29 cents) will go towards green causes. The toolbar has some really freat features including the best Internet radio on the planet. There's a $250.oo minimum payout so it will probably take a while.

Also, by using Swagbucks search and pooling our earnings we can also help to fund green causes. I've decided to give 100% of my SwagBucks earnings to green non profits. If you'd like to join SwagBucks and pitch in then e-mail me at RecycleBill@gmail.com with the word "SwagBucks" in the subject line.

In the past I've managed to afford advertising through ClixSense-- a site that pays you to click on advertisements. From now own 100% of what I earn from ClixSense will go into the green pool. Let me know if you'd like to do the same.

And finally, 100% of the earnings from RecycleBill's Green Store will go toward green non profits as chosen by the readers of BloggingPoet.com and RecycleBill's RecycleBlog.

I'll keep looking around for other ways we can make the world greener.

I realize that most people simply don't get The Adventurers Of The Vegetable Stalker. You see, parody-- even great parody-- escapes the grasp of most people. And while I don't claim to pen great parody the Adventurers of The Vegetable Stalker are parody no matter how poorly written.

Like everything in poetry, Veggie's adventures are in-fact, an experiment. Great poets experiment with every line they write. And those of us who dream of someday rising to levels of poetic greatness must experiment and reinvent the art of writing poetry in every verse we pen if we are to continue to grow as poets. The same holds true in every form of art. In art, just like in science, most experiments fail. And that's okay.

So what are Veggie's adventurers a parody of? The Veggisodes parody vegetarians, growers and producers of Genetically Modified Foods. the Bush Administration, the War on Terror, my life and my own efforts to promote myself as a writer. Have no doubt the Obama Administration will be parodied in Volume 2. They parody life itself and our efforts to remove ourselves from the artificial mono-culture that is slowly but steadily is taking over all of society.

If you'd like to see an experiment unfold you can tune into The Adventurers of The Vegetable Stalker at VegetableStalker.com. Make sure you read the preface and remember the Veggisodes are only excerpts from the manuscripts I someday hope to send to print.

Just as Cherry says in her post, Stumbleupon is no longer any fun. All I have left here are my friends.

Stumbleupon used to be a discovery engine full of wonderful things you'd never find via any search engine but today's Stumbleupon is quickly becoming nothing more than another useless "social networking site."

If I liked social networking I'd join twitter again or actually use the Facebook account I've forgotten how to use.

When I heard the news that Yahoo had bought the goose that laid the golden egg I knew the dumb asses would stew the bird.
