I Am a Soldier

I am a soldier in the army of God.
The Lord Jesus Christ is my Commanding Officer.
The Holy Bible is my code of conduct.
Faith, Prayer, and the Word are my weapons of Warfare.
I have been taught by the Holy Spirit, trained by experience, tried by adversity, and tested by fire.

I am a volunteer in this army, and I am enlisted for eternity.

I will either retire in this Army or die in this Army;
but, I will not get out, sell out, be talked out, or pushed out.
I am faithful, reliable, capable, and dependable.
If my God needs me, I am there.

I am a soldier. I am not a baby.
I do not need to be pampered, petted, primed up,
pumped up, picked up, or pepped up.
I am a soldier. No one has to call me, remind me, write me, visit me, entice me, or lure me.

I am a soldier. I am not a wimp.
I am in place, saluting my King, obeying His orders,
praising His name, and building His kingdom!
No one has to send me flowers, gifts, food, cards, candy, or give me handouts.
I do not need to be cuddled, cradled, cared for, or catered to.
I am committed. I cannot have my feelings hurt bad enough to turn me around.

I cannot be discouraged enough to turn me aside.
I cannot lose enough to cause me to quit.
When Jesus called me into this Army, I had nothing.
If I end up with nothing, I will still come out even. I will win.
My God will supply all my needs. I am more than a conqueror.
I will always triumph. I can do all things through Christ.
Devils cannot defeat me. People cannot disillusion me.
Weather cannot weary me. Sickness cannot stop me.
Battles cannot beat me. Money cannot buy me.
Governments cannot silence me, and hell cannot handle me!

I am a soldier.
Even death cannot destroy me.
For when my Commander calls me from this battlefield,
He will promote me to a captain.
I am a soldier, in the Army, I'm marching, claiming victory.
I will not give up. I will not turn around. I am a soldier, marching Heaven bound.

There are four kinds of soldiers:
1. Active Duty: Serving the Lord faithfully, daily, and on duty 24-7-365.
2. Reserve Status: Serving only when called upon,
or twice a year: Christmas and Easter.
3. Guard Status: Backing up the Active Duty group.
4. AWOL! Absent With Out the Lord.

Which kind are you? Be an army of one for an audience of One.

If Christ returned today, how would you stand with him?
Heaven or Hell?
Where is your destination?
Open your heart to Jesus friends.
Accept him as the son of God.
Obey his commandments.
We will spend eternity somewhere....

My testimony

When I was a little girl growing up my sisters and myself
went to church with my grandmother and grandfather. I liked
going to church. We would sing and listen to the holy word of
God. I continued going to church on a pretty regular basis until
I reached my teen years. During these years, the devil made my
life miserable. I started drinking. It didn't end there. You see
the devil will take you farther than you ever intended on going.
After years of weekend binges, I started smoking marijuana and
tried a few other drugs. The devil knew that I was shy and made
me think that drugs and alcohol helped me to socialize. I'm not
giving him any glory, I'm just letting him know that he doesn't
have control over my life anymore! I am a child of God! The devil is
a liar, you know?! After having my son out of wedlock; marrying
and divorcing his father; living a life that was sinsick; and
spending a night in a jail for drinking and driving
on a suspended license, I finally realized
that Jesus was the only real friend I had. The devil was
trying to KILL me!
The friends that I use to spend time with were there when the
times were good, but disappeared in times of trouble. Jesus
stayed and put his arms around me when I was sad nowhere to turn.
I went to an alter and prayed to the Lord and he saved me. He
completely washed my sins away! I no longer am in bondage of sin
and have a joy in my heart that is unspeakable! And the friends
that I have now through Christ are truly a blessing. They give me
unconditional love and support. Ya know, God really fixes things up
right, if we put our trust in him. We must have faith.
My journey has only begun, but I know that Jesus has great plans
for me and my family. He's promised me great rewards in seeking him.
I try everyday to do God's will. The devil will never stop trying to
get me back, but with daily prayer and seeking my Savior, Jesus,
I'll have victory over Satan!
And now I live each day looking up to Heaven anticipating Christ's return.
I hope that my testimony helps someone out there that is fighting for their life.

Well, this Thanksgiving has been spent doing alot of house shopping. =(
I know that may be fun for some, but I'm getting completely overwhelmed
with all of it! I just can't seem to find one that says "Me". I know, some
of you are thinking..."She can't be pleased." But that's not it. If I'm going
to be living in this home for the rest of my life, I want what I want! I can't help it.
All of my life, my parents moved us around from one place to the next every
year or so. And I'm tired of it! I want a place that I can truly call "HOME".
Is that so much to ask. Yeah, I'm eccentric, bossy, and stubborn, but I have
to live there, right? Anyway, I'm just way too frustrated lately about
the whole thing. Surely you know what I mean. When you have in
your mind, the ideal place to call home, just anything won't do! Some things
I would like to have in my new home are; a bit of a yard (to plant a few
flowers), a garden tub (I'm a bather, hate showers), a fireplace (any kind
really), a nearby field (for my son to ride his four wheeler), and a
basement (for the hubby). He really wants his own space. I can't
imagine why..... (giggling inside). So... that's it. But for some reason
I can't find all these things in my price range. Well I suppose I keep
searching...and....stumbling, maybe something will turn up!
