All of a sudden, this whole social networking thing looks pretty boring to me. Everybody just seems to be involved in a never-ending process of promoting themselves/their content/company/etc.

There is no real interaction. People seem life-less, emotion-less, playing millions of tricks to gain visibility for some unknown/partially-known goals. Human mind wasn't made to compete with machines OR to act like machines. This very behavior makes them look boring, un-interesting object.

Someone tell me how many people do you really interact with over here @ StumbleUpon? You may have thousands of fans/friends but how many of them really care about who you are or how you're living your everyday life?

I think it'd be a lot better if we developed such an application that did all the boring works on our part, leaving us free to do what only we (humans) can do: feelings, emotions, care, help, etc. These are the qualities that we're known for. Sadly, in recent years, we've become so machine-like that this life doesn't really seem to have any meaning, other than trying to compete with machines -- in doing what a machine can do way better than we can.

Dear visitors/friends,

Sorry for staying inactive @ SU for such a long time (maybe a month?)! I was preparing for a computer security exam. Now I hope to be free for the next few weeks so please stay connected. :-) Unfortunately, I had to stop spending time @ StumbleUpon exactly at the time when they were about to introduce new features (no friend limit, etc.) so I've too much digging left. The new interface is something that I'm not happy about but lets see if I find a way to live with the new changes..

Thanks!

There is a bug in the StumbleUpon link-review system. I submitted the large hadron collider humor link approx 28hrs ago. It was even showing the same time about 10-12 minutes ago but as soon as I added a review, the "discovered" time changed to "6 seconds ago." Now it's showing "7 minutes ago".

It should be fixed 'cause it's a crazy bug. It might create problems if some trolls see over 119 reviews left under 7-8 minutes!

I smell something fishy here. For past couple of days, I've been wondering how do all these 'cool' chicks log out at the same time and how do they end up reviewing all the pages from Picable and Trifter lookalikes.

I'm afraid if this game isn't stopped, I'll have to go ahead and start leaving negative reviews. Anybody who tries to game a system is pure evil in my opinion.

Hey all,

Sorry for staying inactive for past 6-7 days. I'm currently spending my holidays in a beautiful village -- village 'cause I couldn't keep myself away from the Internet while staying in my city.

Over here, I'm unable to connect to the Net, still using my laptop though ( I wish I knew computers are so addictive before I started using 'em! ). Writing this message from a cyber cafe and expect to be inactive on the web for the next 2-3 weeks. I hope you are having a good one. :-)

Have a lovely week, my friends!
