1. I am the Blog,your Blog, though shalt not have any other Blogs Before me - Try and concentrate on your main blog. You are only one man you can't possibly maintain too many blogs at the same time. Truth be told. One good blog is all you need to make it in the Blogosphere.
2. I am your blog, though shalt not Idolize other blogs/blogger's, they are only human - Believe in yourself don't belittle yourself or your humble blog, there is always someone who wants to hear what you have to say, just be yourself.
3. You shall not make wrongful use of the name of your blog - Even if the name of your blog is not exactly descriptive of what your blog is, (bligblogblag), stick to the general theme or idea of your blog and people will always remember the name of your blog if not for its content then its quirkiness.
4. Remember Blog Action Day and keep it holy - Click here to find out more about Blog Action Day.
5. Honor your mentors in the blogosphere, those blogger's who have pointed you in the right direction - Put a link back to any website that you get your useful information from. When you do this you will go far in the Blogosphere.
6. Thou shall not kill of another blog - Do not make it a habit of pulling down your competitors or sabotaging their adds or their comments,this is an abomination in the blogosphere.
7. Though shalt not commit Adultery - All you blogger's who are cheating on your husbands and wives with other blogger's beware ! when your spouse finds out about it they will blog about it on your blog! then its curtains for you.
8. Thou shall not steal information from another blog - When you do copy write someone (like I know you are going to do to this post), please remember to give some credit to the author of the article. by linking back to them.
9. You shall not bear false witness in your blog - No matter how desperate you are for your next story/post/article,don't tell lies they will come back and haunt you. Honesty is the best policy.
10. Though shall not covet your neighbors blog, or his Google page rank,or his Alexa ranking, or his subscribers - Patiently work on developing your own original content and the subscribers and readers and rankings will come. In the meantime here is a list of Blogs I Love to Covet.
