After having seen some blogs about Entrecard and bounce rates i thought i would offer this free review on Entrecard.com being a beginner to blogging.

I dont know about you guys, but lately i am finding myself spending more time searching Entrecard than searching Google.

Please i am not comparing Entrecard to Google, it is just that Entrecard, in my opinion has three features that i found worked better for me.

Let me explain.

1) Searching

When i started my first website about 2 1/2 years ago, i spent weeks searching Google for Adsense tips and SEO advice. Most of the results that turned up sent me to either forums or to sites that just told you how much money they made.

Now please dont get me wrong i learnt a lot from some of these forums and websites but it was time consuming.

Entrecard.com on the other hand has categories for different niches. So if i need tips on marketing my website, i can just search the "internet marketing or marketing" section. Easy! At least i know that i will find something relating to the topic, not just pages of websites that are fully SEO optimized or ranked well and may just contain the keyword or phrase once or twice.
Some of the blogs i found on Entrecard, actually show you step by step on how to set up a BANS site for instance, which saves the beginner an enourmous amount of time.

2) Free advertising.

When i visit a site on Entrecard and want to learn about affiliate marketing i can drop a card and collect credits to use to advertise my site on other blogs.

So i learn and earn at the same time.

Put it this way, when i first started this blog about 6 weeks ago, and not having heard of Entrecard.com, with the marketing methods i had down on paper, i was expecting 300-500 visitors a month for the first few months. Well now its 3000 - 4000 a month and still rising. I also did not expect Adsense earnings to almost double so quickly, so that is another bonus.

3) Entrecard is more personnel.

Thanks to Entrecard i am visiting some pretty good blog sites i have never seen before. And let me tell you, there are some really talented and decent folks out there.

All of the blog owners i have got in contact with, have replied very quickly. Unlike my other site zipposuperstore.com, where i just send an email and maybe half the suppliers will respond. Oh well, their loss, they are the ones who are losing money by missing out on my purchase.

In closing who cares about bounce rates when your blog is not even 3 months old. If i make money online thats all i care about. Sorry and of course i care for my fellow Entrecard members.

When i first started out with my first website, i knew nothing about CSS let alone website design. So over to the forums, learnt basic CSS and installed EditCSS. EditCSS is a Firefox add-on where you can make changes to your stylesheet and see the results in real time.

For a beginner there are thousands of free Wordpress and Joomla templates out there, but i noticed that most of the ones i liked, there was just one or two little things i did not like about it and just kept on searching for one i could use.

That is actually what got me into CSS in the first place, i was sick of seeing the same templates over and over again on different websites.

When you run this add on it brings up a left hand sidebar where you can make changes to the CSS of any page and you see the results straight away. ( See picture below )

Say i didn't like the colour of my left and right sidebar of my template and wanted to change it, but i am not sure of what it will look like, let alone what i am doing to my template!

So i open EditCSS, find the section i want to edit change the colour of my sidebar.

Oooops, doesn't look too good now does it, better change it back.

That change took 2 seconds, not only can you make CSS changes before implementing them on your website and seeing the effect, it can save you time too. At the moment i dont think you can save changes and upload the stylesheet but it is still a usefull tool to help you learn CSS.

Now the evil side come out! Whose website can i change... hehehe

I was going to do Google, but thought i better not.

If you are a beginner to CSS and just want to make changes without worrying about damage to your website, this is just one of a few Firefox CSS addons around.

Since joining Entrecard.com i have seen numerous sites telling you how to make money online but not actually explaining how they do it. Most tell you join this site or try this ad company while some sites just tell you how much a site made for them.

If you are a beginner and you are interested in how to make money online from home you should check out jtpratt.com

In their latest series of posts, they are explaining step by step on how to set up your own BANS site. Every detail will be covered, and as the owner explains; “I’ll write about how to customize and promote this brand new site and you’ll get to watch whether or not I can make money with “Build a Niche Store”

But i think the description of this website is what drew me in. “Make more money blogging and with niche sites by Learning from My Mistakes”.

Good, better him than me making the mistakes was my first thought.

As i have only been blogging a short time i found www. jtpratt.com a great site for all the latest blogging tips, marketing ideas and general website advice.

Having been involved in running a online store for a few years, i decided to start my own blog site, so please understand this is just my opinion

Since starting Entrecard.com i have seen a hell of a lot of blog sites lately. Some of them
have had outstanding posts where i have learnt a great deal. But one thing puzzled me?

With the price these days of domain names and website hosts, why are these great blogs on a free blogging site?
So i thought we would put together a little list of the pros and cons on wether to join a blogging site, which was where i originally started.

Joining an established blogging site like blogger. has plenty of advantages, especially for the blog
novice. Sites that host a lot of different blogs often have very useful tutorials about building and updating your
blog, and you are likely to encounter a very user-friendly software interface at an established blogging
site. In addition, these sites provide a kind of instant community of fellow bloggers who can provide advice,
insight, and feedback. These established sites often keep directories of their members, which can be great news for your traffic logs because it means that other bloggers on the site will find out about your pages.

However, there are also some downsides to linking up with a large blogging site. By posting within the
established templates of a site like blogger, you run the risk of having your blog look and feel like everybody
else's. The blogging community is very much about the creation of distinctive sites and the development of
individual voices, so it makes plenty of sense that many bloggers would shy away from the standard look and feel that these blogging sites often promote. Many bloggers feel that the content of a blog is what makes it distinctive, not the look of the blog.

But with the features, ease of use and the Wordpress community, much more can be
done now to enhance and market your blog site. Throw on a few Adsense ads and it will pay for itself
within the first few months. There are many ways you can also display ads on your site and make even more money
online.

Give Wordpress a go and you will be amazed at the results you will get. It cost us less then $20 to get started. and thanks to Entrecard.com we made $8 last month through this blog site alone just using Google Adsense , so there is the years hosting paid for already
