About two weeks ago one of these little guys decided to make my crawl space home. We'll get along fine as long as no relatives move in with him. I guess he'll stay through the winter and then move on. He really likes Bojangles.

As a kid friends and I used to go up to Brown Mountain on cold clear nights and drink beer and watch for the lights. From atop Brown Mountain you can see forever so we would build a fire and just spend the night talking and watching. The lights seem to be more active during the cold months. I've, we've seen the lights several times and no, it wasn't because of the beer.

The legend of Tom Dooley
I live about 20 miles from North Wilkesboro where Tom Dooley's trial and eventual hanging took place. It's a small town surrounded by beautiful mountain country.
Tom was a local boy who was boinking several girls in town at the same time but claiming to love only the one he was with at the moment. Eventually someone ratted him out and all the girls got pissed. One thing led to another and one ended up dead.
I personally believe one of the other girls whacked Laura but they accused and convicted poor Tom.
