It's possible that women want both... they want a middle ground, someone that encompasses many/most of the features of all men in existence. A nice guy is often too nice. He's the extremist left winger in a border fence political wasteland. Women tire of men who are extreme assholes too. They may get laid, but they don't get the companionship. The nice guys get companionship, but no sex.

The formula is simple. Mix the two together, and you get the best of both worlds. This has been my personal observation for a long time now.

Develop morals, stick to your morals, but live a little on the edge, be a little mysterious. That's what a woman wants.
