I removed everyone from my friends list before I left and given the "share" button's continued flawed existence, I'm glad I did.

"Search engine optimization" sounds like something which should make it easier for people who are running searches, but it isn't. It's something which helps peddlers get $$$.

Why do folks write glowing reviews of sites and Stumblers (even adding them to their friends lists) without giving them a thumbs up? More and more stumblers review loads of their fellow stumblers without giving a single one a thumbs up. They thumb up other sites (mainly their own content) but never another stumbler. Mayhap they think this increases their own status, but it doesn't. It just makes them look very Steve.

Some sites on SU are miscategorized. This happens when people don't bother or when they select the wrong category for their "discoveries." There are people who deliberately miscat sites, but they are unworthy of discussion.
There is no reason to thumb down a site and write a snotty review just because it's miscat - you'll look more than a bit Steve when the site is later recat and your review is still bitchy. Just recat it instead - you don't have to hit either thumb button and there's no need for a review - it's far easier.
When "discoveries" are properly categorized it means Gentle Stumblers will easily find sites which interest them, which is SU's raison d'�tre.

Trolls think they are master baiters but it's just a mis-spelling.

Hi there. We've received lots of excellent feedback regarding the recent enhancements to the new site experience -- so far, our community have given a big thumbs-up to our new features and optimized design - thanks for your suggestions!

We rolled these changes out in phases to solicit your input and ensure reliability, but now, we're ready to make these changes permanent. On January 5, 2009, all StumbleUpon members will be switched over to the New StumbleUpon with the latest design, look and feel.

For those of you who have been with us for a long time, we appreciate your continued Stumbling. We know these changes affect you the most, but we've made the "Classic" design and subsequent interface available for as long as we could.

SU has steadfastly ignored all but positive feedback, and those beta testers who point out bugs and make legitimate complaints draw derision or banning. Solicit input? Pah. Try reading this page's reviews!
All versions except Classic have more bugs than a stray dog in Florida during Summer. The SU changes I've experienced made me develop and find work-arounds so I could have something that worked. I read the Bugs and Help fora, and many reported bugs have been with us quite a while. That the coming format is no longer available while it's being worked on is a red flag: doubtless the techs could no longer field so many complaints and questions during building.
They made the "Classic" design available for as long as they felt like it. I'm all for improvement and positive changes, but I'm not into layouts which are impossible to navigate and seem created by meth-addled teenagers who have microscopic vision.
The community will be strengthened when those who dislike the new format (and those who also dislike and report the spammers who've helped wreck SU) have left. Everything here will be ticketty-boo once they are gone. The spammers will be able to market their spammy goodness to the poor clueless noobs and their fellow spammers, and everyone will be happy.

God help the techs! I hope they got pay raises - they're going to be awfully busy after New Year's!

Who are the idiots in DC chanting "A bailout is a sell-out!"? One can't help wondering which industry employs them - and why they weren't chanting the same thing when the rethuglicans were working on bailing out their wealthy-beyond-words insurance and banker buddies.
They're obviously cut from a similarly rough and foul-smelling cloth as those westboro baptist church ignoramuses.

I'd like to say a special "Screw you!" to the SU-spamming jerk whose blog or site installs the PeoplePal (charming victim-tailored pop-up-ad-generating) toolbar. My anti-ickware scan found and removed it around 1 AM 25 November.
It must really suck having your karma, and your miniscule brain and genitalia. I bet even an MRI machine couldn't locate them, you wretched, feeble, oxygen-wasting witling.
I wish I knew who's responsible - if I did I'd post the spambler's name and/or the website. My spies are on the job, so watch this space, girls and boys.

The last time I posted a series of Mutts Shelter Stories, one of them got a thumbs down and the review, "I don't get it."
I rarely cater for the lowest common denominator, but...

Why people still visit breeders and puppy mills, knowing that millions of pets are put to sleep by shelters every year is beyond me. Their brains and hearts must not properly function.
