A few words about the SU Music Player (SUMP)...

The SU Music Player is an unofficial SU enhancement developed by hxseven ( jonasjohn ) and released late in the (northern hemisphere) summer of 2006. His list of aknowledgements is about the only thing you should read in this page because the rest no longer applies. By 2007, control, maintenance and development of the SUMP had passed to Thlayli who for some months had already been hosting the project. Thank you hxseven and thank you Thlayli.

...and how it works...

The player and a database of *links to* songs already in use by Stumblers (see SUMP FAQ (1)) are remotely hosted. The host does not store music files and nothing is stored on the SU servers.

The player has various settings that are adjustable by the SU page/blog owner (ie you and me) and
(THIS IS THE IMPORTANT BIT)
my SUMP is usually set to play the least played songs first (most played songs last) but played means played in full -
so if you hate a tune use the progress bar to skip to somewhere near the track-end and
if you prefer variety, similar action is recommended.
I tend to prefer variety so please indulge me in the to end skipping thing (or listen to the whole track to the end: well, I mean, omg, I guess that's what the artistes-extraordiare had in mind when they sweated studio blood).
