The selfishness of some of the commenters astounds me. Not all jobs provide healthcare and even if you have health insurance it often doesn't cover what is needed. I could go on here...

Max was my mom's cat. We got him as a kitten when he was depressed due to a recent separation from his brother. We handled him and cuddled him a lot and he turned into a real "people cat." Whenever my mom had a guest, Max would steal into the guest room and snuggle up next to the person for the night. He loved Christmas, especially the wrapping paper and tree. He was a great fan of fresh turkey. He enjoyed hanging out with his buddy Gene and until Max's final illness, the two did calisthenics together in the bedroom every morning.
Max was 17 years old. We love you Max!
