David Knowles - Paradigms Lost - Shadegg baby prop fails, healthcare passes House - True/Slant

Arizona Representative Shadegg brought a 7 month old girl onto the floor of the House and used her as a prop to try and stop passage of the health care reform bill. He attributes all these feelings and opinions to this infant. "Maddie loves freedom. Maddie doesn't want the government to take over health care." yadda yadda. This is how Republicans debate. They can't debate on facts b/c the facts oppose their bizarre platform. Instead if they don't like something they say it impinges on freedom and the Constitution. Pathetic.

Interesting take on privacy and social media by Mashable CEO, Pete Cashmore. Good read for skeptics, evangelists, and everyone in between.

From the page: We're living at a time when attention is the new currency: With hundreds of TV channels, billions of Web sites, podcasts, radio shows, music downloads and social networking, our attention is more fragmented than ever before.
