Well here we are, yet another day. We have lots of smoke in the air from all the fires out here in California. Sucks to breathe. Things are all good in the #coast_to_coast channel on irc.sorcery.net if any of you like to chat come join us we are there most of the day but the radio show itself starts at 10:00pm PST. I had a great Fathers day with my family, we took turns playing guitar here 1 and 2 I rocked but it sure is different them playing a guitar for real. Recently lost a dear friend and re-hooked up with two of my best so that's a toss up. guess that's it for now. Have a great life!!

Ahhh, yet another entry into my StumbleUpon Blog. The other day, a Friday at around 3:00pm PST an eighteen wheeler decided to take out a power pole just down the block from out humble abode. I a flash everything that was running, TV, Air Conditoner, Hybrid Network all went down, UPS kicked in and Network shut itself down. We had no power for the next 21 hours. It is a humbling experience when one goes without everything that we are used to using and enjoying on a regular basis. Upon power returning whent to use the broadband and no DSL Sync. Took me three days to get that up. Turns out that when he took out the power, he also brought down the about ground phone lines, and, sheesh, the pole coming down sheared all the DSL lines underground. Arghhhhh!!! So on top of 21 hours of no power, no Internet for 3 days. The whole experience humbled me, as the time, without gave me the time to consider how dependent we all are these days on our toys and tools. It made me think about what it must have been like for all those before my generation who went without what many of us now consider normal. Even with all the strife and issues in the world and society, it's a great time to be alive!!

Just a little update, I have been busy re-installing XP Pro, suprise suprise, did a fresh install and got everything loaded and then all of a sudden I can't get updates I can't install certain apps and so on all because of this great little .dll file called advpack.dll what a stinker just mess it up in the registry and your done, MS has three references to it in their knowledge base. You google it and you come up with thousands of links about it and the nightmare it causes. Oh well look at the positive side, I learned something new lol! Any way upon re-installing the second time all is well.
