On August 29th Stumbler KariFlack left me my 7th Thumbs Down.

My Crimes?

I'm a Glenn Beck Fan, and I "Can't write a post without the use of ;-D"

For this I am classified as an Idiot?

She goes on to say that the Left doesn't want to censor me, but "Would like actual discussion and not the nonsense your boys Limbaugh and Beck like to spew in lieu of discourse."

Really????

Don't talk to me about what the Radical Left wants to do, Dearie, because I was a Registered Democrat before you were born, and a Clintonista when you were still in Elementary School.

When I was finally coming to my senses, at the start of this decade, I once was "ordered" by someone I thought was a friend, even though he was an admitted Socialist, to publically apologise on an old blog of mine, for something I wrote, and casticated by him in his own blog, and told that if I didn't that we would not be friends.

We are no longer friends. ;-D

You want to talk about the type of discourse Radicals want to engage in?

Fox News, and YouTube, Blogs, Stumbles, and Tweets, show the visual, and printed, evidence, every day, of what that means, and show us what Politicians, and the Mainstream Media think of ordinary, Patriotic Americans like me.

If you watched, and listened to Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh (I've been a fan since 1990!), and others, daily, instead of showing your willful ignorance, and unwillingness to entertain the opinions, and concerns of those who disagree with Liberal Orthodoxy, then I might take what you have to say seriously.

You say you want dialog, and don't want to censor me?

Then why are you basing your Rating of me on my Support of Beck, and my supposed addiction to Smileys?

Calling me and Idiot may make you feel good, but doesn't faze me in the slightest.

I've been called far worse in my life.

For starters check out the 6 Dissers who came before you. ;-D

Unlike 1 Avowed Lefty who has Positively Rated my Stumbling, it is clear to me that you have not explored my years of Stumbles, and absorbed the variety that has been on display since I joined years ago, or seen that the lack of Smileys far outnumbers their use (Since Jan. 1 of this year, alone, the Post Count is 186 No to 103 Yes.).

Facts are stubborn things, and Americans (Yes, even many Liberals, too!) are awakening to the danger this Constitutional Republic faces in the days ahead.

Complete Asshole Disses Mad Macedonian! Read all about it!

Yup! My 6th Thumbs Down Review has finally arrived! ;-D

According to prolific Stumbler, Chakkar, his sole reason for disliking me, as a Stumbler, is based on the simple fact that "You like Aging Goth Mom".

When considering this "indepth" review of my activity as a Stumbler it is amusing to keep in mind that this self-described "Agnostic Anarchist" and "Complete asshole, and rarely a nice guy", and I, are at 49% in the How Similar Are You? Comparison, hee, hee! ;-D

So why does my support of AGM piss him off?

Who knows? ;-D

Check out AGM's thoughts on me, here, and then check out her Stumbles while you are at it. ;-D

These folks love me! They truly LOVE ME! ;-D
WHY? THIS might help explain it if you are interested. ;-D
The thing that you should know, though, is that what has these poor, misguided, souls panties in a bunch, is only one small side of who I am as a Stumbler.

And I make absolutely NO apology for it. ;-D

3/15/07 - Today saw the 1st THUMBS DOWN review of my pages by a fellow Stumbler. In that brief condemnation I was accused of ISLAMOPHOBIA. Maybe he doesn't link to me ( and others too, BTW. ) because he's afraid that his readers will explore my SU, and my 2 blogs, and discover there is more to me than he implies, and that we all have reason to be concerned about the issues I present. In PT. 2 it's implied I'm insane. This entry, created 2/19/08, is for all you folks who think we have nothing to fear from Islam, and that our Liberation of Iraq, and Afghanistan, and concern about Iran, as we fight The War Against Terror ( T.W.A.T. for all you folks in Rio Linda! ) is all seriously misguided....

In July 2007 I wrote what I believed at the time would be my last entry on StumbleUpon.

In October I made good on my stated goal of retiring my 1st blog and creating a new one, where my interests in the Political Issues would take a very decidedly backstage place to my other interests.

I had not originally intended to ever return here...

However two stories in the news, this month of February 2008, have prompted me to change my mind, and here are related links:

1. The Archbishop of Canterbury was facing a crisis of confidence in his leadership yesterday after calling for parts of Islamic law, or Sharia, to be introduced into Britain.

Archbishop of Canterbury Faces Calls to Quit Over Sharia Uproar.

2. Just as the Archbishop of Canterbury was facing calls to step down for advocating Islamic law be added to the British legal system, reports surfaced that sharia courts already were tackling crime in London, The Daily Mail reported.

Report: Sharia Courts Already Operating in England.
Speaking of that, um, Worthy:
2. Subjugation as inferiors with the obligation of paying a tax and submitting to inferior status under the rule of Islamic Law.
or

An INDIGNANT MOTHERFUCKER (This prolific SU Member's Self-Description, BTW.), named PHIL1988, had this to say about me yesterday, in giving me "What for" in a rather interesting variation of a THUMBS DOWN Review (My 5th!!):

Not only do you have the stench of a spammer, but you have no thumbs downs.

How he knows whether I stink or not, when we have never met in person, is anybody's guess. ;-D

How he can consider my wide variety of Stumbles to be the work of a Spammer is also a mystery. ;-D

The biggest mystery of all, however, is why he'd accuse me of not giving any Thumbs Down, and then link to the evidence that proves him wrong (33 since June 16, 2006)? ;-D

Sometimes the workings of the mind of 21st Century Youth can be such a puzzle to comprehend. ;-D

You want to know MY theory?

Personally, I think that deep down it secretly freaks him out, something fierce, that we have 16 Interests in Common, and this is his odd way of trying to deal with it. ;-D

***UPDATE - 8/22***

I take it back... Phil is NOT freaked out by our common interests, as I 1st thought.

He's just plain, um, well, I'll just let his updated review of me, in response to the above, speak very clearly, and disturbingly, for itself:

"Wow, you sure told me off! maybe I can show you my gratitude for showing me the error of my ways by servicing your slav-hellenic cock?"

***END UPDATE***

The Left Brain or Right Brain Lady, and the Psychology of Stumblers:

This RightWinger was a LEFT Brain when I 1st saw it here yesterday, but this morning, when I saw it on a site Stumbled 5 days ago by FireXtol...here, it immediately went in the OTHER direction. ;-D

When I then saw her here, also Stumbled by FireXtol, on the 20th, a few minutes ago, I saw the lady going Counter-Clockwise again. ;-D

New Stumbler, FireXtol has, this morning, given me, as a Stumbler, a Thumbs Down Review based on my Stumbling something he himself Stumbled before I even knew the thing existed. ;-D

As he wrote on the 18th, with no rating included: "She's doing both, depending of which way you look at it. From above her, looking down, she appears to rotate clockwise. From underneath her, looking up, she appears to rotate counterclockwise."

On the 20th he wrote a similar, calmly thought out opinion, but with a Thumbs Down.

TODAY he gives the page I found it on a Thumbs Down, and seems a tad frazzled. ;-D.

He writes: "Uhm.... How many pages must I stumble on with this IDIOTIC bullshit on it? It spins both ways. View her from above: clockwise, view her from below: counter-clockwise. But she's not a clock... nor designed like one... so it's really neither. There's a-whole-nother level of math for describing 3D objects that spin."

[ See below, for what this new response has apparently caused him to think of me as a Stumbler. ;-D ]

Stumbler T3hdragon writes in response to the same page: "fucking kill yourself for stumbling this shit. It's not psychology, it's a piece of shit illusion that's fucking everywhere. Christ die in a fucking fire".

Heh, heh. ;-D

Those are Exhibit A & Exhibit B for why I put it in the Psychology Category. ;-D

TO FIRE: My dear Sir, you do not HAVE to Stumble anything, idiotic, or not, unless YOU choose to do so (You chose to do so 3 times as of Noon PST today.).

Your Review of me as a Stumbler, this morning,..."Stop putting crap on my Stumbles!!!!", was obviously done in the heat of the moment.

If you calmly think about what you wrote you will realize 2 things:

1. Stumble Upon belongs to everyone who uses it, not just you.

2. One persons crap, is another persons sweet smelling perfume.

I hope that you will explore my SU Collection, and re-think your Thumbs Down or, if it stays down after that, then give a more reasoned objection. ;-D

TO T3HDRAGON: Tsk, Tsk, Tsk! Temper, Temper, Temper! Didn't your parents teach you not to tell people to go kill themselves? ;-D

***UPDATE - 5/25/08***
SU is an interesting place, full of interesting people, some of whom sometimes let their emotions get the best of them.

With the ability to e-mail an opportunity exists to not only get to know our fellows, but to come to an understanding when a "situation" arises.

T3HDRAGON responded to this post, & I responded back. Our dialog has been interesting, & in the process he has said 2 things that closes the matter for me:

1. I don't mind being mentioned for being a jerk.

2. I am terribly sorry for exaggerating my opinion on the matter.

While "not excusing my actions either way" going as far as he has shows that there is more to this Stumbler than his colorful way of expressing his Thumbs Down Opinions would indicate. ;-D

I wonder how many Stumblers have done what I have done, instead of doing something that make matters worse.

Life goes on, and a change of direction soon begins.

This will be my last entry as a member of the SU Community, though I will stick around a while checking out various writing websites folks have recommended, to see if I want to include links to them at my new place. ;-D.

However, I encourage folks to explore what's here because there is much of interest that I hope others will Stumble, and help spread the word about.

I became a Blogger in May 2002, and over the years writing on that Blog allowed me to share the news, and share my opinions, and my life.

Thru that Blog, and my BikeBlog, I re-discovered a talent for poetry, and Creative Writing, and a amateur journalism, and I discovered the courage to change my life for the better, a journey that had begun in 1998, and is a work in progress.

In the past 6 months I've come to accept that there are far more people, with larger audiences, more resources, and more time on their hands, to spread the word, and fight the Blog Fight with regards to issues such as Illegal Immigration, The Muslim Threat, the 2008 Election, and the future of America incumbent on its outcome, than I, and that the best thing for me, and my growth, as a person, and a writer, was to move on.

So I've just about ended that 1st Blog, and have begun to focus on creatiing a new one, where my interests in the Political Issues mentioned above will take a very decidedly backstage place to my other interests.

For that reason I'm ending my participation in SU, and wish to thank all those who have rated me, and count me as FANS & FRIENDS, for their support, and SU friendship.

This place is a great resource, and I wish it continued success!

Psst! I'm Baaaack... ;-D

And I can explain myself, too! ;-D

JUNE 5TH, 2007:

Yeah?

So, um, what did ya think of the piece in question, my friend? ;-D

My latest Stumble has apparently hit a nerve.

Instead of bravely giving a thumbs up, or down, with, or with out, an opinion, of either the article I found ( If the person even read it! ), or even my Stumble Pages, Midnattsol, who lists an interest in Liberties/Rights, whines about the way I chose to Stumble the place.

I often use a time honored Blogger technique of sharing a small portion of the article in question, along with writing an opinion, either long, or short ( Guess he overlooked THAT part of my entry! ) about the piece that I hope will encourage others to read it as well.

In the Land of LIBERTY, we opinionated types, Liberal, and Conservative, have this very annoying habit ( To some, apparently ) of using our FREEDOM to express ourselves in ways that we believe will lead others to inform, and edumicate, themselves.

So far 4 people have given the article Thumbs Up, in 6 hours, a reaction that shows that I must be doing SOMETHING right. ;-D

----------

JUNE 6TH, 2007: Midnattsol responds...

Actually it is you who got something wrong, I didnt "[whine] about the way [you] chose to Stumble the place" at all (at least not in the way how you chose the "content" of your COMMENT. Note that I didnt lose a word weather or not I like the page itself nor did I thumb it down. in other words: I read that many "comments" that simply are some copy'n-paste job of the page or - like your comment - consist of an estimated percentage of 66% copy'n paste and only 33% comment (thats annoying, really; first: because its harder to spot the real commentpart, second (similar to 1): coz its a simple waste of space and time)

The part from "The entire handbook" to the end would have done the same job, only better. I hope u understand my point of view better now, it was NOT pointed against you as a person or the way you think about stuff, only against the useless waste of .... etc, I suggest you think about ur "response" in your blog and maybe alter it a bit, since appearantly you got my comment wrong ;)

JUNE 8TH, 2007:

Okay, as regular readers know I am not averse to sharing negative opinions about the contents of this space, and responding to them.

I accept the explanation given for the intent of the critique, and understand where it is coming from.

However that will not change the way I Blog ( And make no mistake, Stumbling IS just another form of Blogging. ).

I do not know how familiar Midnattsol is with the goings on in the traditional Blogosphere, a Community that I've been a respected, though little known, part of since 2002 but, especially among Political, and MilBlogs, and any number of other Blogs, that are issues oriented, including Bicycling, this style of Blogging is a common, and accepted practice.

If you find this style annoying then you will really hate FISKING, the practice of including an entire article in a Blog Entry with the intention of inserting your rebuttal through out the entire piece. ;-D

For obvious reasons THAT practice will not work here, where people might encounter your comments 1st on the page for the article you, and dozens of others, have Stumbled, and not on YOUR page, here.

Very early on I realized the problem such lengthy posts in that smaller space would cause, and have tried to make the best of it by using the FROM THE ARTICLE phrase, and the 3 ***, bracketing, to seperate the excerpts, from my opinion.

So far it seems to be working, as the number of favorable reviews, and the number of folks to include me as friends, shows.

I am not the only Stumbler who indulges in this practice, far from it, and, so I hope Midnattsol, and others, don't ruin their SU experience getting too worked up about.
