This is one of the reasons why I love cycling, because they let you show off your championship colors - current and past.

Here is a photo of Team Astana with Alberto Contador wearing his Spanish Time Trial Champion colors in their full glory.� Same team, different colored uniform (kit).

Here is a photo of current World Road Champion, Alessandro Ballan, wearing the multi colors signifying his title. Lampres usual colors are blue and pink.

Here is an awesome "twofer" photo of Tom Boonen. He is wearing the Belgian national colors (red, yellow, black) on the main part of this jersey because he is the current (2009) Belgian road champion, and the world champion multi color piping around his sleeves and collar, designating he is a former world champion (2005).

Now, to throw one more curve into the national jerseys, here is a photo of the Belgian national time trial champion in the team time trial. It's not Boonen wearing the Belgian colors, because Boonen is not the Belgian time trial champion. He is the road race champion.

The rider is Stijn Devolder. Boonen is the big dude on the far left of the photo. A rider can only wear the national colors in the event they won.

So, when the team goes back to road racing, Devolder will wear the normal white team jersey, and Boonen will wear his road champion/former world champion piping jersey like he is above.

Hola mi Stumble friends. Well, I thought for sure I would be bouncing off the walls at this point, since Jenny finished up her Chemo about a month ago. Well, it hasn't happened. I am getting much better sleep, but I think I might have been so deprived that I have to work my way out of the hole.

What the hell?

My blog went from lame to really sucky with all the SU changes. I had no issue with the default mint green text it was giving me, but the retina punching white is a real pisser.

Now I have to go back to editing every post from here on out. Makes me feel like Homer Simpson when he bitched about how long it took for his meatloaf to warm up in the microwave.

I often send one of my friends who used to live up here in the Seattle an email talking about the air up here.

Living 20 miles NE of Seattle, I never would have expected the smell of fresh air, but that is what I get, not only tonight, but on many occasions.

I love smell. Smell transports me to the past and one of the times I stopped to smell. I step out on my deck and take in a huge breath of fresh air and am flooded with so many memories of the past when I did exactly the same thing.

Do you want to know what I was doing back in 1986? I can tell you because the memories are so vivid! Fields of green wheat ebbing and flowing in the wind, irrigation sprinklers spewing water on the crops, the single truck coughing up dust as it hauls ass down the gravel road and the heat of the sun on your skin as you take it all in.

I love being human and all that it offers. Excuse me as I go out on my deck for another deep breath.
