I feel like commenting about major league baseball players, most notably Roger Clemens, and the fluster over steroid use. I don't feel like finding a link, and this is the closest I have to a blog.

Steroids are a classification of drug. The drugs are legal, by prescription. One can argue the quality of doctor's care if the doctor is recommending steroids to a healthy person, but as long as that care is there, and the prescription exists, there is no law broken, as far as I know. If there is use without a doctor's oversight in just about any state, then that state's prescription law has been violated, and state law enforcement can and should be involved. You could even make the case that, if state boundaries were crossed to convey the steroids to Mr. Clemens, that some federal law was broken, and now some federal law enforcement agency swings into action, like ATF.

So somebody explain to me why this is the concern of Congress.
