Yeah, mixed impressions, as below. The timing is good with the '50 ways' link, and I don't use Ubuntu myself, anymore, again, but I do recommend it, at least to get a person started. Hell, a good portion of the solutions that Google sends me to are on the ubuntuforums. I say Linux is a good thing, even Ubuntu, and that the only way to get to über leet is through newbville.

I started to type up that last comment on "Future of Twitter", and I thought I'd be clever and start to rant and cut it off at 140. My first line of thought went nowhere, so I switched to the 'care less' train, with the intention of moving on to my real problem with social networking of all kinds, which is that while listening to something like Talk of the Nation, Science Friday, I have to listen to them go on for five minutes listing their handles at 58 different sites, now with a whole paragraph at the end about tweeting 'us' at the-at-sign-followed-by-scifri.

Anyhow, joke's on me, the cut off happened just before the second full stop, so now it just looks like I'm lazy. I could have done some mangling and rewriting just to properly convey the CARRIER LOST meme that I was really shooting for, but instead, here I am typing up this crap, which is clearly doing nothing for my image, but has a certain cathartic value for me.

In short (HA!) 140 chars is not even enough text to properly make fun of a 140 char limit, so... yay?

Could someone sum up this page in 140 bytes for me? I kid, of course. The reality is that I could care less, but it would be too much effort

I knew it felt dirty. Dig, dig, dig: "MLM" No offense, of course, but why would you (not to get personal, but so it goes) market this link through Stumbleupon, where nobody can complete the survey because they've never heard of any of those fine folks? I guess the proper response is for us to say, "Why no, I have not read that book, guess I should go do that!" I notice that 'Renegade' has made a serious effort to make sure that anyone that searches "scam" will end up right back in friendly territory. I didn't even search "scam" to learn that, either. Rather enjoyed reading "the renegade network marketer scam is not a scam," everywhere. A shame that 'they' don't put some effort into proofreading. Don't get me wrong, typos happen, but when one is bragging about their mad marketing skills (read Google-bombing 101 for only $70!) while simultaneously copy and pasting a gem like "here to saty" all over the internet, it does give one pause, especially when, nowadays, even browsers have spell check.
