I really wish that Christians could take a step down from their high fucking pedestal of religious superiority to see that they are doing to Atheists/Agnostics, exactly what they believe the rest of the world is doing to them.

I drive to work every morning and pass no less than six churches. I see billboards and signs everywhere promoting God and the belief in 'Him'... But what would happen if instead of painting "Jesus Loves" on the side of my business (which I've seen elsewhere, mind you), I painted something along the lines of, "Jesus was the greatest con artist!"

My guess is that my windows would be broken with rocks, I'd have my little message spray painted over, or I'd be taken to court for impeding on the Christian rights around here. What about MY rights? Don't I have a right to be agnostic and SHOW that I'm agnostic or atheist, or hell, while we're at it, ANYTHING other than Christian!

I'm sure "Satan Saves!" as a sign wouldn't last long, so really, my question is why are we putting up with it? Why is it fair for them to be reverse-prejudiced.

"Oh boohoo, the world hates me and tries to shut me up and doesn't let me put my signs everywhere or control the government or control the schools or brainwash all the children... You guys are bigots!"

Gee... Why should my kid have to be FORCED to sit through prayer? Why should my presidential candidate have to go out of his way to say, "Oh yeah, I believe in God! Hell yeah I do! Down with the non-believers!", just to be considered by half of America?

To all you Christians out there: Quit being hypocrites!!!!

I have a strange thought that I just felt utterly compelled to share.

Private schools; more often than not, these schools are religious based, and if anybody has been reading the news lately, there at been a strong decline in public school attendance as more parents are enrolling their children into private schools.

Now here is my question. For parents who do not want their children 'brainwashed' by religion, are there any private schools where they can send their kids without having them bombarded with biblical rules and regulations?

So far my answer is no; I have been unable to find any private schools that teach according to an atheist or agnostic 'code'. What if I want my child to learn that evolution is much more factual than intelligent design?

I hardly think it's fair that Christian parents DEMAND public... PUBLIC schools to teach intelligent design, yet I'll bet you my left ovary that if a private school popped up that, let's say, was based on Satanism, that the Christians would have themselves a fucking FIELD DAY!

Talk about intolerance. In fact, many Christians don't think that Atheists should have any rights what so ever, after all, this is "One Nation Under God", isn't it? I just don't get it. With as much hate and prejudice that there is in the world, why continue to pile on things to disagree about?

For all the closed minded bastards out there, I have one thing to say to you. Open your damn eyes and take a look around. This is a tiny little planet that we all SHARE. We are all members of the same species, and yet, instead of trying to celebrate that fact, we try to find as many discrepancies between our races that we can just so we can fight to decide who the better 'man' is. It's disgusting. Grow up.

Well since I posted one poem I figured I might as well keep going! Here is a lovely little piece I wrote for my darling boyfriend... I don't think he was as pleased with it as I was though, lol.

Love VS Ability

You wanted me to give you poetry;
You demanded a ballad, sonnet, or haiku.
You asked me to write you a verse;
Said you needed to hear of my love for you.

But my words did nothing to sate your thirst;
"I love you!" was never sufficing.
You commanded these words to be written in rhyme;
No matter the pain, risk or pricing.

So at last I gave in to your torment;
I decided to give it a shot.
I attempted all day to think of you;
But all of my thoughts led to naught.

I could write about your sense of humor;
or your smile, or your face or your wit.
I could rhyme about how much you mean to me;
About all that I hate to admit.

I could swim through filled pages like water;
Pages full of just pure adoration.
My ink would go dry as the desert high noon;
But those thoughts could not fuel concentration.

My cadence was shot right to hell and then back;
Just your name started my heart in a flutter.
But my feelings alone could not write you a poem;
I was ready to quit, bare and utter.

Then suddenly here seven verses below;
I realized it was finally a start
And although it's not flattering, witty or sweet;
I still wrote it for you from my heart.

I have yet to share my poetry with anybody who...stumbles upon my page (pun not necessarily intended), but I'm in a lively mood, so here a poem that will hopefully put a smile on your face:

Ooops

I tried to potty-train my fish
Just the other day,
But every time I tried to teach
He'd swim away and play.
I told him that this was his home
He'd have to go outside,
But he didn't want to listen,
No matter how I tried.

So then one day I picked him up
And dropped him in the john.
I waited for five minutes
Then checked to see if he had gone.
Much to my great pleasure
It seemed as if he had,
So I clapped my hands together
And I told him I was glad.

Sadly in my excitment
I rushed to teach him more,
I showed him how to flush the thing...
And this is why I'm heading back
To the pet store...

The end.
