Things I've done:
- I quit nail biting, for the second time in my life. I managed to be without biting my nails for about 3 years in late 1990's, but stress overcame me on September 2000 and it begun again. Somehow, few weeks ago, I just quit it.
- Surfed various yarn e-stores. I want Rowan, Mark & Kattens, I want them all. I want to knit. I want to have patience to knit a sweater.
- Surfed various knitting blogs. I want to be like them, to have patience to knit lace shawls or beautiful ponchos or just utilitaristic sweaters. I want to have money to buy all those beautiful yarns, like them.
- I've been doing new homepages for the firm my SO is working for. The poor thing don't know enough CSS to make it himself. No worry, I got paid: I went to see my very first ice hockey game.

Things I haven't done:
- I haven't finished my past project(s) for other client(s)
- I haven't studied Statistic Maths or done the presentation
- I haven't studied for Cisco's CCNA
- I haven't cooked

Oy, you just should see what I've done to my other blog about knitting. Molesting a pixel or tweaking is one of the few joys of a NuMediaNerdette. On the other fronts, it's my autumn break now. I haven't done anything worth while, though I should be practising Statistic Maths and do a presentation of it, study German, Computer Logics, Cisco's CCNA1 modules, Business Contracts, Business Communications, and ICT English... But hey, as I said, nothing beats the good ol' tweakin'!

Oh, I totally forgot...

Why do I hate pink nail polish? Or actually, almost any hue of red? I just put some on my nails to prevent myself from biting them until I can't type because of pain, and because all my blue and white and glittery nail polishes had gone bad, I was forced to use PINK.

Otherwise I love red, but on my nails, EEYYYYYGGGHHH

The autumn is here. Glittering lights on wet pavement, falling leaves stuck on the windshields of cars passing by. The smell of new school books. A brand new pencil.

DirtyPenguin said that the thanks for the Moomin links belong to me -- they do not, but to a friend of mine who seems to have forgotten again that he has StumbleUpon installed. Anyway.

I love the Moomins. If you'd read the books, you'd know what I mean. They've got the spirit, the anarchy, wit, intelligence, love, friendship, greed, fear, adventure. Like in many childrens books, they work good with the kids, but to understand them completely you have to be adult. Such philosophy seems such a waste, if the readers would be kids only. Though I start to think that philophy is wasted on us adults :-D

The creator of Moomins was, by the way, a member of several minorities. Tove Jansson, daughter of a artist, lived all her life in Finland. She was not only Finnish (a minority per se, us Finns form a minority in the population of Earth with only ca. 5 million), but a Finnish-Swedish (about 6% of Finnish, who speak Swedish as their native language). She was a woman (you know, less than a half of population), but also bisexual or lesbian. She never went public about the matter, though it was common knowledge. I've always wondered what it was like to be her in the 1950's or 60's.

Ever heard of kinetosis or morbus nauticus? Those are the latin names for travelling sickness or seasickness. I travel from home to school mostly on a bus (yay public transport \o/) and though I love it from the bottom of my heart, I tend to get sea sick every time I forget I shouldn't read anything. Again tomorrow it happened, I was reading some catalog while heading home and wheeee I feel so sick and woozy I don't know what I should do. Thank Goddess I never throw up because of this, but its still very bad.

Oh, and I finally found out what's been wrong in my homepages, Mozilla has had some difficulties with rendering the pages correctly when scrolling down. A friend on IRC pointed me the way to correct things with -moz-box-sizing:border-box; box-sizing:border-box; and presto! now it works like a charm again. I'd been wondering that bug for a while but I didn't care about it because I thought it would be miraculously fixed somehow (as it has been, at least with my FF0.9.3 no such problem exist), because with Opera the pages looked fine.

But anyway.
