CHECK OUT BRAINIACDATING.COM---MY LATEST VENTURE

Below is a link to my profile/site at my latest online venture: brainiacdating.com It is unfortunate that the site has "dating" in the name because it is really an online community where the highly educated and intelligent can find like-minded people, men or women, not only for dating or possible long term relationships (including marriage) but also for friendship, interest-sharing, pen-paling---the gamut of human relationships including, yes, "intimate encounters" if one is interested, or gay and lesbian relationships.

This site is the brainchild of a brilliant and wonderfully personable Silicon Valley Harvard Ph.D. and astrophysicist who also has expertise in computers, chip development, web design, and internet marketing. It is quite small at this time, about 11,500 members after only a few months of operation.

Brainiacdating.com is what StumbleUpon used to be before it became what it is now. You "old-timer" Stumblers know precisely what I mean! :)

I want to encourage all my friends here to give brainiacdating.com a good look. It is 100% FREE to join, so come on over and try it out.

And when you do, please send me a friend request. I am NOT MindhunterINFJ there; I am Ireadpeople, and I am easy to find. I have a Music Player embedded in my site with 200 songs.

The Music Player is FREE at playlist.com, and IF you sign up with playlist.com (another FREE site with 40,000,000 members all sharing songs) and get their free music player, you can add tons of your favorite songs both at playlist.com and while listening to the songs of others. Just click ADD and, bingo, the song is added to YOUR playlist on your music player. Magic, no?

Anyway, the link to my profile/site/page is:

DEATH SHALL HAVE NO DOMINION

By Dylan Thomas

And death shall have no dominion.
Dead men naked they shall be one
With the man in the wind and the west moon;
When their bones are picked clean and the clean bones gone,
They shall have stars at elbow and foot;
Though they go mad they shall be sane,
Though they sink through the sea they shall rise again;
Though lovers be lost love shall not;
And death shall have no dominion.

And death shall have no dominion.
Under the windings of the sea
They lying long shall not die windily;
Twisting on racks when sinews give way,
Strapped to a wheel, yet they shall not break;
Faith in their hands shall snap in two,
And the unicorn evils run them through;
Split all ends up they shan't crack;
And death shall have no dominion.

And death shall have no dominion.
No more may gulls cry at their ears
Or waves break loud on the seashores;
Where blew a flower may a flower no more
Lift its head to the blows of the rain;
Though they be mad and dead as nails,
Heads of the characters hammer through daisies;
Break in the sun till the sun breaks down,
And death shall have no dominion.

A VERY SPECIAL WELCOME TO VISITORS: SHARING SOME OF MYSELF WITH YOU

WELCOME to my blog pages! I hope you are having a smashing week! I am! I wanna share a bit of myself with you, okay? Read on!

Are you happy or hurting? What is the purpose of life---more specifically, of YOUR life? Why were you born? Why are you here? What matters? What matters to YOU?

Do you still have the dreams and innocence of childhood----the goggle-eyed wonder and awe of all creation? Remember how it was? Sure you do!

Where are you going with your life? How do you get there? Have you lost your way? Gone down the wrong road, maybe time and again---as many of us have---an alienated prodigal in an unhappy and strange land? Do you miss "home"? And where, or is it "who", is "home"?

Are you alone within yourself, isolated and lonely? Or do you have connectedness with the universe---and with at least one very special person? More importantly, do you embrace connectedness with Something or Someone outside of and greater than your meager life? If not, do you yearn to do so?

Since I have found the key to happiness, I am eager to share it with you. You will not find it here on the internet or elsewhere in another person; no one will ever "complete" you; your happiness is within---if you know how to access it. Happiness is, also, in connectedness with a special other in a universe of "one" called "us"---and in connectedness to Something or Someone greater than yourself and your Self (Get the distinction?).

So, again, do you know how to access happiness? I do. I have. You see, for many years I lived on the other side of that divide. I did not really know how to be truly happy. I permitted issues from the past and anxiety and worry of the future to pollute my present.

I simply wallowed through life. I existed; I did not live. I had a little fame; I accumulated a small fortune; I collected "things"; I indulged in the various "pleasures" of life.

After all, was I not living my dream?

The simple dream of a bedraggled, hungry kid born and reared in a shack with an outhouse, no electricity, no television, no telephone, no automobile, no air conditioner, no heating (except a wood stove)---where the snow swirled through the cracks in the cold of winter and piled up on the feather bed?

Yes, living my dream! Or was it my dream? A nightmare? No, not quite that, but not satisfying, either. I still felt the void, the emptiness, the disconnection from anything that really mattered---what we all feel when we choose to embrace nothing except Deified Self and external "things."

No, I was not happy. Not even content. Nothing I had acquired or attained satisfied me. Nothing, in fact, meant anything at all to me. Nor should it have. But I did not know that then, and I wrestled with myself to find life's meaning and purpose.

Then I discovered the key! Now, I am living, not merely existing from one day to the next as I once did when I filled my lost and empty years with "things" and people and "busy-ness"---to block out thinking, feeling, dealing with where I really was. Now, I am happy and joyful---and content---and I have peace and purpose. I am "home."

And you can be, too!

NO! I am selling nothing! Nothing! All I offer is my wisdom and experience, and I give that to you free---as my friend. Such as I have, I give unto you for whatever, if anything, you make of it. The choice is yours.

I urge you, if you have not done so already, to go through my profile carefully. Does your intuition tell you that you and I could be friends and learn from each other? I tend to mean what I say and say what I mean: As I say in my profile, I am here looking only for friends. Very special friends.

I think you might be a nice one. Sometime my intuition tells me that about people.

Even though I am 100% intuitive, however, I can be wrong. My daughter constantly reminds me, "Now, Dad, just because you are 100% intuitive does NOT mean that you are always right." Touche! I am not! :) Just right about 99% of the time. :) Just kidding!

Here's the deal: if you don't pigeonhole me (on age, distance, religion, color, nationality, gender, race or other artificial societal constructs), I won't pigeonhole you. We can then speak to each other not shell2shell but mind2mind. Maybe heart2heart or even that rarest of connections: soul2soul Who knows? Deal?

Hopefully, a friend,
Jack

P.S. If you choose not to friend me, I honor and respect your choice. If so, I wanna wish you the very best of luck here on StumbleUpon and in life. May all your dreams come true! May you find---and have---joy, grace, love, happiness, and the peace that passes all understanding!

Subject: SNOTTY RECEPTIONIST]

An older gentleman had an appointment to see the urologist who shared
offices with several other doctors. The waiting room was filled with
patients.

As he approached the receptionist desk he noticed that the
receptionist was a large unfriendly woman who looked like a Sumo
wrestler. He gave her his name.

In a very loud voice, the receptionist said,

'YES, I HAVE YOUR NAME HERE; YOU WANT TO SEE THE DOCTOR ABOUT
IMPOTENCE, RIGHT?'

All the patients in the waiting room snapped their heads around to
look at the very embarrassed man.He recovered quickly, and in an equally
loud voice replied,

'NO, I'VE COME TO INQUIRE ABOUT A SEX CHANGE OPERATION, BUT I DON'T
WANT THE SAME DOCTOR THAT DID YOURS.'

> >> DON'T MESS WITH OLD FOLKS .

-------------------------------------------------------------

Mike was going to get married to Karen, so his father sat him down for a
little chat.

He said, 'Mike, let me tell you something. On my wedding night, in our
honeymoon suite, I took off my pants, handed them to your mother and said,
'Here - try these on.'

She did and said, 'These are too big; I can't wear them.'

I replied, 'Exactly. I wear the pants in this family and I always will.' Ever since
that night we never had any problems.

Hmmm,' said Mike. He thought that might be a good thing to try.

On his honeymoon, Mike took off his pants and said to Karen, 'Here - try
these on.'

She tried them on and said, 'These are too large. They don't fit me.'

Mike said, 'Exactly. I wear the pants in this family and I always will. I
don't want you to ever forget that.'

Then Karen took off her pants and handed them to Mike. She said, 'Here - you
try on mine.'

He did and said, 'I can't get into your pants.'

Karen said, 'Exactly. And if you don't change your smart ass attitude, you
never will.'

SUNDAY MORNING, COMING DOWN (ON RELIGIOSITY)

NOTE: The following I posted on Ocbober 8, 2006 as my Sunday "sermon" for communicants and "lost" souls, including me!

G,
GOOD morning, my Jewish friend! I have a message for you: God could not get into many Christian churches this Sunday morning either, for, if He came, it would be without a suit and tie and without a reservation or even a welcome.

Imagine with me, if you will, this scraggly Jewish rabbi approaching what Christians call a "mega-church", maybe one with a $250,000 golden steeple with a cross atop soaring upward from a $50 million complex of sanctuary, gymnasium, fellowship hall, Sunday School rooms, and so on.

Two questions to you, my Jewish friend, and to me: (1) What would they, those who call themselves by His name, say and do with Him? and (2) What would He say and do with them?

Answer to first question: There is no room in this "inn" for a smelly, long-haired, sandaled, scraggly hippie wandering in from the Galilean desert or perhaps from the inner-city skid-row, the slums beyond the railroad tracks, the tittie bars in the xxx-rated red light district, or fresh from the dumpster behind the Kroger store where he searched last night for food and curled up for warmth against the winter chill.

No, no room, they would say, maybe not in so many words, but by their actions---or more precisely their inaction. For, you see, this lowly Jewish rabbi would not come knocking at the crystal or granite cathedral alone. No, that is not His way. He would bring His followers, his converts, with him on this bright and serene Sunday morning, and as he knocks the scruffy horde would be lounging and milling in the background, their smell alone over-powering the faithful who eventually open the door.

Who are these folks who follow Him to an edifice that proclaims His name but which, in reality, is a sacrilegious altar to human pride and vanity and folly and self-deification: or, more correctly, to the deification of "religion" itself?

I will tell you, my Jewish friend, precisely who His followers would be on this peaceful Sunday morning: the riffraff, the drunks, the drug addicts, the prostitutes, the homeless, the poor, the hungry, the bums, the misfits, the mentally insane, the hungry, the orphans, the helpless, the children, the strippers, the queers, the voiceless, the transvestites: in short, those whom He calls His "lost sheep", "the little ones", and "the least of them."

Yes, come with me, my Jewish friend, as this man of your faith knocks on the door of this "Christian" church. Let yourself who, I sense, like me, does not "fit" the norm set by the "normal" people who insist in putting us into a box of their creation so as to "understand" us be in that crowd of outcast humanity, it milling about us, waiting for our leader to gain admittance to "His" church.

As the door is opened, the stench, the sight, the implicit threat of this mob overwhelm the cultured sensibilities of the staunchly religious deacons who open the door. How will they answer this rabbi's knock? Answer: they would turn Him and His followers away and they, His chosen people, would crucify Him anew.

How do I know this? Because they crucify Him every day that they righteously proclaim His name and yet turn blinded eyes and hardened hearts to those hurting and outcast souls who are "different" than the righteous who praise their God within the $50 million walls of this edifice erected not to Him whom they turn away but to human vanity, pride, folly, self-deification, and deification of "religion" itself.

You see, many, perhaps even most, churches look inward; they are deified social clubs for business connections and hobnobbing with "normal" folks like themselves. They say they look upward, but upward is NOT upward: it is downward into the filth and the gutters where suffering humanity grovels, cries, hurts, groans, and dies.

And what would He, this lowly prophet, do, say, to them, this riffraff on the inside (for they are lost sheep as well, are they not?)? Would he say to them: "Suffer these `little ones', the `least of them', in your materialistic culture to enter? Yes, He would. Would he say, "Go and sell this monstrosity, this sacrilegious edifice to a God whom you do not follow or even know, give the money to the poor, and follow me"? Yes, he would.

Would He then, when they (the lost ones within) reject the teachings of the Man whose name they worship, become incensed and rebuke them? Yes, he would, but not yet, for maybe still they will heed his message. Maybe they will heed his call.

So He would then spin one of His incomparable parables, perhaps an updated version of the one about the rich man's table and all the Lazaruses that, even now, mill about Him, who beg and grovel for the crumbs if not a seat at this "table " laden with scrumptious fare for the wealthy members alone.

Would they, his lost sheep within, understand and hear this parable? No, they would not---for they have not heard it for 2,000 years, and one cannot hear with deafened ears, and one cannot see with blinded eyes, and one cannot feel with hearts of stone.

Only then, perhaps, would His righteous indignation and anger arise, and as he did 2,000 years ago, He would drive these modern "money-changers" from His temple. Or maybe not: He did that once, but the message did not "take."

After all, He came to Earth; He proclaimed a revolutionary, transformative gospel of love and forgiveness (the two most powerful forces in the universe)---but few heard His voice, even fewer His message, and fewer still laid down their riches (burdens), took up His cross, rejected materialism, dethroned Deified Self, and followed Him along his humble path.

There are, however, Christian churches who do not, would not, turn this lowly Jewish rabbi and his bedraggled followers away. I do NOT wish to chastise, to condemn, on a blanket basis. One of them is The Dream Center in inner-city Los Angeles. You can check it out---its outreach to the misfits, the outcasts, the hurting---at the following URL:

My Jewish friend, I will not turn you away at my "temple". You are welcome to my cyberspace "congregation." No need for an RSVP; the doors to this church (or temple or synagogue as you call it) are open to you and to all. And you do not need a suit and tie, and no need to sit in the balcony or at the back. There are no second-class members here. Come on down front; you are welcome!

However, I do insist upon certain things: an inquisitive mind, a questing spirit, and an open, perhaps hungry, heart. You do not have to bring any dogma with you; in fact, if you do, please trash-can it at the door. You do not have to agree with me; I know what I believe and why I believe it, but I am respectful of your contrary beliefs. AND I invite you to challenge mine--even as I challenge yours.

One other pre-requisite: Please do NOT tell me, although I know you believe it and I respect your view, that God is not here. He is! For He is everywhere in the cosmos, even in the souls of those, like you, who do not believe that He exists.

And do NOT tell me, even though you believe it and I honor your right to disagree, that you cannot, will not, know Him, find Him. You can! He can be found!

Peace and grace to you, my Jewish friend on this serene Sunday morning, the most segregated hour (not only by race but by "righteous" and "unrighteous") of the entire week.

I have added you as my friend; please reciprocate, and let us ponder together the questions that, but for our friendship, we are fated and doomed to ponder alone.

Peace and grace to you.

Your goyim friend,
