I don't write about or follow politics. PBS bores the shit out of me, and the news is a disaster in integrity.

I like fashion, which is not viewed as a noble interest.

I don't know why a Rei Kawakubo dress for Commes des Garcon is not as respected as much as, I guess, CNN. It's way more inspiring, it is sheer art, it makes a woman look fabulous and it inspires joy and happiness in the (right) viewer.

An english accent reporting all the bad, filtered news from Iraq, without even hinting at a solution, brings none of those things. It brings the opposite of those things. And I'm done with that dreary bullshit that keeps people from happiness and stuck in fear. Fuck that.

What I want in my life is inspiration, art, beauty, fabulousness, style, happiness. Not the opposite.

It took me some time getting Comcast Internet going on this new machine. I had to call tech support, which I never have to do anymore because I can usually figure it out myself.

The service no longer requires a CD to install drivers, etc. You should be able to unplug the ethernet cable from the old computer, plug it into the new one and follow the prompts.

That's really awesome when it works; I love having less of anything: cords, installation cds, etc.

Unfortunately it didn't work for me, so when I called they told me to use the old trick of shutting everything down and unplugging all of the cords, to refresh the system.

These days, though, you can't simply turn off the modem, you have to take a paperclip, (and this is why I'm writing this post) and stick it in a little hole, push a button, wait, push again to turn on.

There is even a word that says RESET next to the

I love this new iPhone app, CameraBag. Several styles (below) can be applied to any photo, new or already taken. As a person who started shooting and printing pre-digital, the ability to apply styles without printing tricks or pre-planned lighting, is liberating and amazing. I don't feel a bit of guilt about it either
