It's been a long time since I've been so mad that I feel the necessity to complain about a specific bar or restaurant, but tonight a particular bar stepped over that threshold.

We went with a couple of friends to Bar Loose on Annankatu in Helsinki to meet up with a few friends of friends. The evening went okay for the most part, a couple of drinks before the bar, a couple of drinks at the bar. Going there, a friend and I asked if it'd be okay for us to put our coats and laptops in together with one coat check and the answer was yes. Fast forward a few hours and a few drinks. The place was jamming and we decided to leave. I live very near to this bar, so I decided I'd just go home, no big issue. So, we go to the coat check and my friend gives the coat check ticket.

The guy at the coat check says there's only my friend's coat and bag under that ticket. I asked him politely if he was sure, `cause we were told both our stuff would be put under the same ticket. The guy basically told me to get lost, that if I didn't have my own ticket then I'm screwed. I again tried to politely tell him that my friend and I were told that we could put both of our stuff under the same ticket. After a heated back and forth debate, the coat check guy finally told me to go stuff myself and that if I ever wanted to see my stuff again then I should call the police.

Me, being the silly naïve person that I am, I thought maybe the bar staff could help me. Big mistake. The girls at the bar basically told me to go do nasty stuff to myself and if I ever wanted to see my stuff again then I should call the police. Honest to god, I never thought I'd come across this in Finland. I really hadn't even drunk that much and was trying to be as civil as possible. But no, they told me to f*** myself.

When I was eventually in tears in the middle of the bar not knowing anymore what to do, my friends managed to negotiate my stuff out of the coat check. I don't know why they wouldn't give them directly to me, other than they felt a necessity to utterly humiliate me. And even that I can't understand, `cause I was far from being really drunk and disorderly.

But they can truly stuff their whole bar up their collective asses. And a bar that I had just put a lot money into buying friends drinks. I'm just so upset that I could spit. I'm not a vindictive person, but that bar could go belly up and the entire staff could lose their jobs, and I couldn't care less. Serves them bloody well right. Bloody last time I ever try being understanding and civil at a bar.

Damn it, I didn't give my previous page review a thumbs up. I specifically tried to just leave a review because I didn't want to give a thumbs up. Again, one of those little irritations that build up and eventually ruin your day.

You know, I don't know which surprises me more; the ridiculous reactions of people when you try to do your best in bringing value to the company or the fact that I'm still surprised by the ridiculous reactions of people when you try to do your best in bringing value to the company.

Okay, the situation this time. Based on a number of reasons, I took the initiative to invite a company to present their service offering to my colleagues. I was naïve enough to think that this might be seen as a good thing as the idea was to enable people to understand the vast amount of opportunities there are for them in developing the particular areas of their responsibilities. When originally suggesting this, my team took to the idea well, so I went ahead with it. Apparently here's where I made a mistake: out of courtesy, I invited also other people from the company to the presentation because I was stupid enough to think that they might be interested in hearing the presentation also and that they'd appreciate being invited.

How simpleminded I can sometimes be. My team still took to the idea well. But the reaction from others... not so good. I received an onslaught from the Head of Marketing accusing me of being disrespectul of the company and other people's work responsibilities and work areas. To which I politely replied that I disagree. To which the PR Manager, towards whom I apparently was so disgustingly disrepectful, sent an email, that was meant for the Head of Marketing but sent to me, stating "Go to the top and stop this!! Who does this bitch think she is?! Burn her on a stake and poke her eyes out!! Rhubarbrhubarbrhubarb!!"

Wow... seriously... Remind me never to be initiative in this company ever again. Makes you feel all warm inside knowing the shit you get when you try to do something for the good of the company. Well, that was the last straw. I've taken too much crap from the narrow-minded, small-souled, pathetic retards in this company that are too scared of people smarter than them proving to everyone else how moronic they really are.

They're trying to forbid me to invite a company to come to our office to give a presentation!!! I mean, what the fuck?!?! They're like little boys in a little sandbox kicking sand on the new kids that just want to play in their own little corner of the goddamn sandbox. And you know the saddest part? They're going to get their way, because the people making the Big Decisions are also part of the Little Bully-Boys Club.

So, anyone out there, anywhere in the world that isn't an archipelago off the coast of Finland, if you're looking for a creative, hard-working person who's not scared of making initiatives and strives at bringing the best possible added value to the company, send me an email. I'd love to hear from you.

I give up. I totally give up. I just can't understand why people are incapable of giving clear, straightforward answers to clear, straightforward questions. Instead they go all huffy-puffy, take it as a personal insult that you're trying to make a fool out of them by proving that they actually are stupid, and they answer your email by cc:ing your boss with absolutely no logical reason to do so.

Why not just answer the question? If you don't know the answer, friggin' say you don't! It's fine not the know the answer, what makes you look like a bloody ignoramus is writing total crap and then cc:ing a bunch of people that have nothing to do with the matter because you think that's going to make you seem like something else than a total coward.

I just don't have the energy for this anymore. Don Quijote had an easier job with the windmills, and Alice sure as hell had an easier job finding logic in Wonderland. Sometimes I feel like maybe I'm the crazy person and I'm just somehow incapable of understanding the sparkling logic of this place. But you know what, it's not me. I don't shift blame, I take responsibility for what I say and do, and I can honestly say that, in this case, it's really not me. I just don't know what I can do anymore, because this is making me a bitter, cynical bitch and I don't like myself like that.
