I ♥ Paperbackswap.com. A swapping site for books. They also have DVD and CD swap sister sites. So far all of the books I have received were in great condition, some looked like the covers had never been opened. Since all you pay for is to ship books out (about $2.50 on average using media mail), the books cost less than in the second hand book stores we have locally. You own each book you receive - no late fees or due dates to track. The best part is that they are delivered directly to my door, so I do not have to wait to find the time to peruse the stacks to feed my reading habit. I've been able to keep up with the NY Times bestseller list and find old favorites. If you are an avid reader, you may like Paperbackswap.com, too.

I especially love the pic with the glassware and the baskets. Even the plainest basket can be dressed up with a custom tag and 6 inches of ribbon.

Particularly smart how she has the kids medications separated from the adults. It will make mistakes less likely to happen.

I know it is a tad early to be thinking of Halloween. I mean this was the first morning I have even slightly felt Fall in the air. But I LOVE the creativity - Dave Lowe goes ALL out for Halloween! If you want to try a few of these at home, or get really in the ghostly mood, now is the time to start reading him regularly. Around our house, the holiday is as a big a deal as Thanksgiving and Christmas. 11 months out of the year, the house is 'pretty'. It's a fun break to go creepy instead. If nothing else, it is one month to forget about all of the cobwebs gathering around the house!

Love this idea! I can think of so many ways to utilize this for the kids, for gifts, for love notes to the Hubby.

I already have a plan to utilize stars as markers for my little guy. I may carry it over that much further by copying the example as a reinforcing reward for certain number of stars earned.

The spaces we live in give us so much. They can become a haven, a keeper of memories. Sometimes they have a rocky beginning. Our family is living in its second renovation house. The transformation the house goes through is remarkable, but *nothing* compared to the growth of all of the people within.
