This isn't surprising in the least, really. The research has been available for years showing that consuming reduced fat foods just makes you eat more. I find it to be very strange however that the dietitian that worked on this doesn't understand why full fat products lead to less weight... then again, dietitians (in the US at least) rarely understand food quality. Want to be healthy? Consume more whole foods.

As a board certified Health Counselor, I am a strong proponent of raw milk. Conventional milk has a number of complications that are never discussed. Pasturization destroys good bacteria, vitamins, and can lead to lactose intolerance. Homogenization scars the blood vessels, and rBGH/rBST boosts IGF-1 in the body which will lead to cancer.

When looking at the reported outbreaks, illnesses, and deaths that have occured supposedly due to raw milk, we must look at the health of the individual. Most specifically, of course, their digestive health. Considering that most of our foods are denatured, processed, and refined, with very little to almost no whole foods, it's easy to assume that most of these cases are due only to poor personal and digestive health.

I am not a fan of Weil in the least, but still, this issue is absurd and the FDA really needs to can it. I wouldn't be surprised if they did the same thing if someone promoted vitamin D to help combat cancer.
