Love those brain-dead dudes and that slutty bar-whore.
Charlie Day's character is great. Great voice, great mindset (or lack thereof).
Danny DeVito is annoying but really ties it all together.

You'll never need most of that extra weight. Make-do with less. Here are 22 material things the Porsche-driving lawyer/college professor/biotechnology consultant/IT person/whatever does NOT need in their car (but may still benefit from having on occasion):

(See original article for names.)
(weight means bad fuel economy),
(use a map, or your cell phone's GPS),
(develop an immune system),
(you won't need more than one standard head for most small tear-downs and repairs),
(just get a wrench to undo and firmly tighten your lug nuts or whatever else has the potential of coming undone on your car...you can probably leave your biggest torque wrench at home),
(you don't need a whole pliers kit...put one on a key chain with your standard screwdriver),
(find a rock or something hard nearby, and use your head),
(use your cell phone to take a memo or walk into an office or up to a secretary's desk and ask for pen and paper),
(don't get hurt in the first place or have someone call medical services),
(don't talk and drive),
(DON'T TALK AND DRIVE),
(QUIT TALKING AND DRIVING),
(When's the last time you even used it around the house, or when it was right there in front of you and you had a problem? Duck/duct tape is seldom used by those who do not work on ducts.),
(wear a hat, which counts for style points and can also keep the sun off your head, neck, and upper body),
(use a mechanic's rag, which also doubles as your oil-mop...you aren't going to be doing any gardening when you're stranded),
(use your fully charged cell phone if you have a car charger, which is something you shouldn't /need/ either, or, alternatively, wait for the sun or power a light off your car battery...a solar panel would do just as well after charging over the course of a day),
(they will get brittle, if they aren't already, and break if you're stranded in the desert...rubber bands aren't made to hold more than a few paper materials in a bundle),
(don't keep it in your car, but in your pocket...body heat is much kinder to electronics than car/greenhouse heat...I go easy on this one because as a computer scientist I like to know that my house can burn down to the ground while I'm away and I'll still have something I can restore my data from),
(too big, too much weight...there's no such thing as a good, small fire extinguisher...if you can't put it out with what you have around you, such as dirt, water, or cloth, it's out of your hands...chances are you aren't racing across the desert pushing your engine to its limit, and you won't have a problem...chances are you have a new, fuel-injected, cool running vehicle that can even take a climb...I'll go easy on this one if you have a radiator or an older car),
(these might be fine for a glove box or console, but also take up space, are oftentimes heavy, and are impractical for one's pocket),
(unless you're dragging/hauling something you need to keep attached or in place, you don't need these...you could also use tie-downs to the same effect),
(use a bank instead of leaving money in your car to be stolen and used for pot and liquor, and don't leave your full identity or even a single credit card in your car to be used to make withdrawals and gas station payments...use common sense)
