Pretty much the best player out there now that 1.0 is out. Great deinterlacing too. A little light on features, but it'll play pretty much anymedia file format you can throw at it.

On a hunger strike for 15 days protesting teacher layoffs in the LA Unified School district, teacher/school board member Sean Leys is successfully drawing attention and supporters to his cause. Hungry for a Better Education, his coalition of students, parents, educators and well wishers, have urged the district to use stimulus money to keep teachers employed, classrooms to a manageable size, and maintain the small gains we've made in graduation rates over the last decade.

His group, however, has to contend with the fact that not a single bond measure concerning government program funding passed in CA special elections in May, leaving school districts, police/fire stations, and many public services equally starved for cash.

In his best selling book Blackwater: The Rise of the Worlds Most Powerful Mercenary Army, Scahill exposes the ties our government has with these guns for hire, while stating the fact that there are no current laws to deal with the existence of such armies in Iraq.\

In his latest interview with Bill Moyers, Scahill discuses Barack Obama's use of PMCs in Iraq as well as Afghanistan. Obama, who as a senator introduced legislation to try and bring the actions of these contractors under the scrutiny of the US courts, has increased their numbers dramatically in both theaters. Those numbers are staggering.
