OK, Stumble, what the hell is up with the double and triple repeat stumbles? I've been getting the same pages over and over again.

To be frank, Stumble seems to be going downhill ever since Ebay took over :(

I was emailing him back when stumble decided to eat my posting. I spent a good fifteen minutes on my response, and now I'm just frustrated that I have to type and link it all over again. I'll come back to it later today because I just don't feel like doing all that work again right now.

You know, that's why I usually ctrl+a - ctrl+c before posting anything to my blog, but I just forgot since I've been blogging and reviewing all night.

*sigh*

Sorry Dezine3, I'm not trying to blow you off. I really enjoy debating, but I'm just beat now and I think I'm going to crash and go to sleep.

I promise I'll get back to you tomorrow. I look forward to debating you, and hope that we can both learn something from each other.

Something strange I noticed: I went back and started checking pages I've already reviewed and I noticed something. Not a single page I've reviewed (that I checked) had a review following mine. So does stumble just not show you the reviews that follow yours?

That would really suck, because I was planning on following up on reviews that follow mine, mostly on political subjects, and answering rebuttals, or countering them or agreeing with them (if they show that I am mistaken) as the case may be. But I can't find a single review that follows mine.

Hmm, I just had a thought. Maybe it just keep my review at the top when I go back and check the review pages. I'll have to check that real quick.

...

OK, I'm back. Doesn't look like it. I think I just can't see any reviews that were posted after my own. I'll have to keep that in mind. So if I have a rebuttal, I need to send it to the person in question, since they will be unable to go back and check the review page and see what people wrote in response to them.

And post the exchanges here, of course.

So, a customer brought me a computer to fix. Says it "might be infected with a couple viruses."

I try to boot it up to start running some scans. No go, the comp freezes when I load into windows from McAfee, MSN messenger, Yahoo messenger, Yahoo live, about 12 rogue anti-virus programs, and who knows how much more crap.

So I say, "screw this," and load into safe mode. I run Malwarebytes and see this when the scan is done:

Wow. I may have to rebuild the registry since some of that crap was hooked in there so good that it's BSODing the system on windows startup since I deleted all those infections.

So I got a stumble mail from a stumbler named Earthgeek with a link to "Earth4energy," a company that sells instructions on how to build your own solar panels and wind power generator.

Earthgeek's letter:

"Hey! I see that your interested in the environment, what about craftsmanship and being handy? If so, you NEED to do this... This guide teaches you how to build a wind mill and get materials for it and solar panels. It's a great little project and it'll cut your energy bills, I know first hand because I've actually tried it out, the guide is awesome and definitely worth it.

t:4af78a56e75c8;src:syndicate" rel="nofollow" target="_new">http://www.yourdesigntoolbox.com/earth4energy/"

I was a bit sceptical at first, since spam seems to be getting to be more of a problem on Stumbleupon. So I did a Google of Earth4energy. Here is my response to Earthgeek:

"In this day and age one must always be mindful of scams so I did a little research on Earth4energy. From what I can find it is a very detailed step by step instruction manual that even someone with very limited home DIY building knowledge can pick up and understand. Thanks for the link.

The only downside I can see to Earth4energy is that with the state of the US economy right now, very few people are taking the long view of saving money. In other words, most folks will look at $50 (+ materials and labor time) out of pocket now vs saving money slowly from reduced energy consumption and feel that doing something like this is not worth it, even though in the long run it will pay for itself and then some.

As I'm sure you know, since you are obviously someone that actually cares about the environment, most people are more worried about what's on TV than what they can do to keep our species from destroying itself and the world. It's rather depressing."

So, in review: Earth4energy is a good product, although I must say that all of the information it provides can be found online. Of course, the $50 you would pay them is for ease of us and saving one the time looking for instructions that are as detailed and easy to use.

So thanks Earthgeek, I am more than able to find information and instructions for projects like this myself (and in fact am going to be saving up some extra cash to do just this), but maybe someone else that reads this and isn't as search savy will pick up this product and help save some energy.

I got a message from a fellow stumbler that read:
"it's interesting that americans still believe the parliamentary system as a means of change...

don't you know the close relationship between obama and the money cartels, his zionism...
unfortunate.."

I replied:

"Of course it would be better if Americans would remember their revolutionary spirit, but alas, they seem to have forgotten it.

So for now, Obama seems the MUCH lesser of the two evils. And Zionism? Money cartels? I'm not saying your wrong, just that I would like to see some evidence for these claims."

Has anyone else heard anything like that? It's difficult to keep up with the TON of BS information being circulated about Barack. So any claims made about him are going to have to have a preponderance of evidence before I will begin to take them seriously.

Not to say that Obama doesn't have a shady side, but so far I haven't found it in my research. And I've done quiet a bit into his past. He really seems on the up and up.

But at the same time, I have trouble trusting ANY politician, Republican or Democrat. So if there is information about him that is backed up by facts, I'd love to hear it.

UPDATE: He replied back (rather quickly):

"Yes, of course you're right to some extent... There were times that people of the US fought for their rights. Even the origin of the May Day and the International Working Women's Day goes back to the resistance of the laborers of your country, which also makes me proud as an internationalist... Well, I believe that the people didn't forget it, many were brainwashed, some exiled, some killed.. But everything changes, the soul of Haymarket waiting for its time..

Coming to Obama, I'd like to say that lesser evil is evil anyway. Only, people have to start doing something for themselves instead of voting periodically. We have to reject being spoon-fed. It's not easy and can be sorrowful; but it's already sorrowful for the people of middle east, am I right? I am trying to keep in mind that, even obama were a "good" politician, he couldn't change anything, because the world system has some complexities which make it independent from the individual.

here are the links for you.
this one is about Obama's money cartels:
http://www.zcommunications.org/znet/viewArticle/16601

this one is about his hypocritical "anti-war" approach:
http://lefti.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html#898445430426742762

here his pro-war zionism is obvious:
http://lefti.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html#1635647428320907741

obama is trying to intimidate cuba, here fidel castro wrote on him:
http://links.org.au/node/447
...

best wishes.."

I'll have to take a look into those links.
It shows the video of the puppet show where the boy puppet kills the Bush puppet (lol Bush puppet, how ironic).

You know what I kept thinking while watching this?

Stabbing is too good for him. Much better to force him (and Cheney, and a few others) to put on a US Military uniform, and ship 'em off to Iraq. Let the people directly affected by his "policies" deal with him as they see fit.

Somehow I think that we would see some friendly-fire "accidents." That is, if the Iraqi's didn't get to him first.
