**My take on the Phelps "scandal"**

So apparently that super-human, 12000 calorie eating, I'm just like everyone else, I put on my pants one leg at a time but when I do I win gold medals dude Michael Phelps smokes weed. Cool. I would seriously doubt it's his first time either. Heck he's no doubt the bong master with the lung capacity he's got. Of course this has cost him Kellogg's sponsorship deal because Phelps with a bong doesn't fit the image they were going for. Interestingly his other sponsors (Speedo, Visa, and watchmaker Omega) have all decided to stick with this obviously worthless, lazy, stoner. At the same time Kellogg's has managed to get N.O.R.M.L. on its case. The pro-pot organization has spearheaded a campaign to boycott Kellogg's products and I have to say I'm enjoying the irony. Let me explain myself: people who smoke grass also like to eat things, things include pop tarts, cereal, and fruit snacks. Kellogg's makes all these products. In short they have a lot to loose from a pissed off cannabis connoisseur community, much more, say, than Speedo, Visa, or Omega. Let's not forget that Phelps also dabbled in drunken driving after the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. In light of this, this blogger would like to present the Michael Phelps party timeline:

August 2004 Olympic Games, Athens, Greece
Six Gold Medals, Two Bronze

November 2004 D.U.I. Charge, Baltimore, Maryland
Super Drunk

December 2004 - July 2008 Intense Training

August 2008 Olympic Games, Beijing, China
Eight Gold Medals

January 2009 College Party, South Carolina
Massive Bong Hits

Can YOU see any correlation? Phelps loves to party. His training schedule (arguably impossible without marijuana because I can only assume it is just as impossible to eat 12000 calories a day without it - flawless logic) is obviously structured around his party schedule. In any case if the greatest Olympian the world has ever known wants to smoke the electric lettuce why should anyone else say different?
