This week I leave Richmond (after almost 28 years!) for UNC Chapel HIll, and a few weeks later for UC-San Franciso, where I will be in residence until until the fall. Great new opportunity for some exciting research in metabolism and cancer using NMR methods. I'm excited and anxious, the two seem to go together with me.

So I will be on hiatus. Also, I plan to go back and start deleting some old stuff. No one looks at it anyway, and, all you good Buddhists out there know that all things are impermanent.

Having thousands of posting is kinda of ridiculous, don't you think? Also, I think the new StumbleUpon interface, except for a few features, is not so great. If they call me, I'll be happy to advise ;-)

But... its StumbleUpon is kinda fun, I connected with a few interesting people, but ... I need to figure a way to make it more enduring and meaningful for me, rather than just mindless surfing. In that regard, I thank my friends for pointing to me in some interesting directions.

Some astute web developer tell me why I am green in my Mac/Firefox browser on my SU page? I am not green in Photoshop. More generally, why do two different browsers display color differently on the same monitor and computer, e.g. Firefox and Safari. Something about embedded color profiles? -jano
