Recipes using Coca Cola that have been collected from newspapers, magazines, box tops, and friends over the years.<br />
	<br />
<br />
COCA COLA BARBECUE SAUCE<br />
Cook 1 chopped onion and 2 chopped cloves garlic in 2 tablespoons butter until soft.<br />
Add: 2 c. catsup<br />
6 oz. Coke<br />
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce<br />
1 tsp. Mustard<br />
2 tbsp. Vinegar<br />
<br />
Simmer 1 hour or until thick.<br />
<br />
SOUTHERN BARBECUE SAUCE<br />
1 (18 oz.) bottle barbecue sauce<br />
1/4 c. molasses or table syrup<br />
1/4 c. cola (Pepsi or Coke)<br />
1/4 c. minced onions<br />
<br />
Combine all ingredients in heavy pan; heat slowly. Do not boil. Makes a sweet tasting sauce for barbecue chicken or beef sandwiches. For a really southern style sandwich, try adding cole slaw on top of your sandwich.<br />
<br />
BARBECUE SAUCE<br />
2 med. onions (chopped)<br />
3/4 c. Coke<br />
3/4 c. catsup<br />
2 tbsp. Vinegar<br />
2 tbsp. Worcestershire<br />
1/2 tsp. chili powder<br />
1/2 tsp. Salt<br />
<br />
Combine all ingredients. Bring to boil. Cover pan; reduce heat. Cover pan and simmer 45 minutes. 2 cups.<br />
<br />
BARBECUE SAUCE<br />
1 c. Coke<br />
1 c. ketchup<br />
1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce<br />
1 tsp. liquid smoke<br />
1 tbsp. brown sugar<br />
1/4 c. A-1 sauce<br />
<br />
Sprinkle of onion salt and garlic powder<br />
Boil slowly to reduce by 1/4 of original volume.<br />
<br />
CHERRY JELLO<br />
1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen black cherries, drained, reserve juice<br />
1 lg. pkg. cherry Jello (sugar-free)<br />
1 can crushed pineapple, drained reserve juice<br />
1 1/2 cans Diet Coke, divided<br />
13 x 9 inch Pyrex dish.<br />
<br />
Bring 1 can of Diet Coke to a boil. Use Coke as you liquid to dissolve your Jello. Pour Jello into a dish to jell. Combine pineapple juice, black cherry juice and Diet Coke to bring the liquid to 3 cups. Add to Jello. Add crushed pineapple and black cherries to Jello. Chill to set Jello<br />
<br />
CHERRY PIE JELLO<br />
1 lg. box black cherry Jello<br />
1 1/2 c. water<br />
1 can cherry pie filling<br />
1 (12 oz.) can Coke<br />
<br />
Mix water and pie filling in saucepan. Bring to a boil, then add Jello. Mix well. Pour into serving bowl. Cooled before Jello set, add 1 can of Coke. Chill until firm.<br />
<br />
BLACK CHERRY JELLO<br />
2 sm. pkgs. cherry Jello<br />
2 c. hot water<br />
2 c. Coke<br />
1 pkg. cream cheese<br />
1 pt. black sweetened cherries<br />
<br />
Pour hot water over Jello. Add Coke, chill until thin jell. Cut cheese in cubes and cut cherries in fourths. Add to Jello and stir good. Chill overnight.<br />
<br />
RASPBERRY CHERRY MOLD<br />
3 oz. raspberry Jello<br />
3 oz. cherry Jello<br />
Medium can crushed pineapple<br />
1 can dark sweet pitted cherries (cut in half)<br />
12 oz. coke<br />
1 c. nuts<br />
6 oz. cream cheese, chopped<br />
<br />
Boil cherry and pineapple juice, then pour over Jello. Let cool. Add coke, add canned pineapple, cream cheese, and nuts. Makes two ring molds. Grease mold with small amount margarine.<br />
<br />
COKE CAKE<br />
1 c. margarine (2 sticks)<br />
2 c. plain flour<br />
1 3/4 c. sugar<br />
3 tbsp. Cocoa<br />
1 tsp. Soda<br />
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring<br />
2 eggs<br />
1/2 c. buttermilk<br />
1 c. (10 oz.) cake<br />
1 1/2 c. sm. Marshmallows<br />
<br />
Combine all ingredients. Blend. Beat 1 minute on medium speed. Bake in sheet pan 40 to 45 minutes at 350 degrees.<br />
<br />
COKE CAKE FROSTING<br />
1/3 c. margarine<br />
1/2 c. Coke<br />
1/3 c. cocoa<br />
1 box powdered sugar<br />
1 c. nuts<br />
<br />
Have ready when cake is done! Spread on hot cake that has been left in pan. Cool and cut into squares.<br />
<br />
BROWNIES<br />
2 c. sugar<br />
2 c. flour<br />
4 eggs<br />
1 c. melted butter (2 sticks)<br />
1/2 c. cocoa<br />
1 tsp. Vanilla<br />
1 c. pecans, chopped<br />
<br />
Beat for 2 minutes at medium speed. Pour into a greased and floured 13 x 9 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.<br />
<br />
ICING<br />
1/2 c. butter<br />
3 tbsp. Cocoa<br />
6 tbsp. Coke<br />
1 box powdered sugar<br />
1/2 c. chopped pecans<br />
Cook butter, cocoa and Coke over medium heat. Add powdered sugar. Makes a lot of icing; you may want to half the recipe.<br />
<br />
APPLESAUCE BROWNIES<br />
2 sticks margarine<br />
3 squares chocolate<br />
2 c. sugar<br />
3 eggs<br />
1 c. applesauce<br />
2 c. flour<br />
<br />
Melt margarine and chocolate; add remaining ingredients. Bake in greased and floured oblong pan at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.<br />
<br />
FROSTING<br />
1 stick margarine<br />
3 tbsp. Cocoa<br />
6 tbsp. Coke<br />
<br />
Melt margarine; add cocoa and coke. Bring to boil; remove from heat. Add 1 box powdered sugar. Stir until smooth, then pour while hot over cake.<br />
<br />
FROSTED CRANBERRY SQUARES<br />
1 (16 oz.) can crushed pineapple<br />
1 can cranberry sauce<br />
1 lg. box cherry Jello<br />
1 c. Coke<br />
<br />
Pour juice of pineapple into pan and bring to boil (about 1 cup. If not 1 cup from pineapple, add enough water to make 1 cup). Pour over Jello. After this is dissolved, pour 1 cup of Coke into mixture very slowly. Mix well. Partially chill until syrupy. Mix pineapple and cranberry sauce and let set. Frost with following, if desired.<br />
<br />
TOPPING<br />
With mixer, blend 1 (8 ounce) package softened cream cheese and 1 small container of Cool Whip. Spread over top of Jello, and sprinkle generously with pecans. (I use packed in own juice pineapple and diet Cola or 7-Up.<br />

MICROWAVE COCA COLA CAKE<br />
Cooking time 11 minutes. Utensils, 11 x</p>
