Well, I start my new job Monday (January 9th). I'll be working on an unannounced title at Sony Online Entertainment (the creators of Everquest, Everquest 2, and many other games).

I should be back to posting here shortly, and my blog (which has been offline for a year) will be returning in about two weeks.

Some of you may have noticed that I haven't updated in a while. Things have gone poorly at my job. After releasing a game in time for the Christmas season, they are closing our studio. I'm concentrating on finding a job and being with my family at this time. I'll return to post more fantastic links as time allows. Until then, you can see what we're up to below:

At around 4am this morning, a 4.0 magnitude earthquake hit San Diego. While 4.0 is nothing (really, just a slight bump as earthquakes go), this one was centered almost directly under my house; a bit over 2 miles away. I'd never been that close to an epicenter before.

EARTHQUAKES ARE LOUD MOTHERS!

It sounded like someone lit off a cannon in my bedroom. The quick "snap" earthquake rang the house like a bell, and I could feel compression waves on my face from all the windows bowing. Yowza :/ Took me a while to get back to sleep after that.
