Charlie is back. He has something to say. Say it Charlie!

I hope everyone has a happy holiday. I heard recently about this guy in a red suit who is going to run into my house and he doesn't even use a door. He likes to climb down the chimney. I want to go up the chimney to meet him. But there's this metal thing in the way. What should I do?

I also hope you will visit my grandpa's bog soon. He has lots of Christmas pictures of lights and things next to the cranberries. It's called Virginia Breeeze. Maybe I will wait for Santa to climb down the chimney and meet him in the hallway.

I can't wait to show him to MOMMY and daddy. And grandpa

I enjoy doing reviews for my SU friends. I trust their judgement. But today when I went back and looked at everything I discovered something strange. I am giving reviews to some folks who are never giving them back! So now I am going to stop doing that! I want to find out who is on the same page with me. Happy Stumbling! David

Happy Holiday Wishes to all My SU friends!

I have been reinventing my weblog, Virginia Breeze, and added a premium template. And there was lots of other stuff to do because of that. So I have been neglecting my SU page for awhile. Plus I reformatted my computer. So the little red number was not showing up next to the Stumble! icon. So if I did not respond to something you sent me I apologize. And I will do better in the future.

Thanks for you patience.
David.

I haven't been working on SU lately because I have been working with my keywords. And I also went over my collection of poems with a small comb and fixed them up. So I hope you will stop by there and read them.
But The Bear With The Stick keeps chugging along. It has over 2500 views now. Thanks to everyone who helped it receive so much exposure!

NOTE TO MY SU FRIENDS

In the past few weeks I have been trying to get a handle on SU. So much has been written about it and that's part of the problem. Everyone is writing about it as a way to increase traffic to your blog. But then you go to SU and you find out that a lot of folks there have no interest in that at all. They just want to find the greatest photos and most interesting articles and put them up on their SU page. And really they have a point. That's what SU is all about.

So why all the articles about increasing traffic? Because there is another group that wants to also increase traffic to their blog or blogs. So you have these two basic ideas and folks tend to go towards one or the other. Some are in the middle. Maybe it depends on how much they want a particular post to be seen. And then they drift towards the other base of operations and spend much time thinking about aesthetics and long lists of useful gizmos.

I know I am a pretty crazy fan when it comes to Jordin Sparks. But I can't help it. I haven't been a fan of anybody for awhile. How long has it been since the Beatles were together? Oh, and Andrea Bocelli. That's fairly recent. Anyway there is a recent post here with a photo of Jordin on it. She is resting on something and their is a lot of white in the background. Her hair is highlighted and its falling off the thing that she is resting on. I just want to make sure we are on the same page here. If any of you like to stumble or like to have someone stumble your stuff I would appreciate it if you would review this photo and post.

Thanks.

It looks like a cool and crispy morning outside with bright sunlight. Nice. And it must be time to get up because there is a big Waste MANAGEMENT truck down the street slamming some stuff around. You can hear it echoing down the other end of the street. BAM!! BAM!! BAM BAM!!! These guys start off their day with a great deal of enthusiasm and I am sure the nice weather is contributing to their desire to make sure every last bit of trash is being extricated from the large container they are turning upside down. BAMMMMM!! Usually we don't have this problem because we don't have a McDonald's Restaurant on our road. Thank the Lord. But many of the homes in this area are being torn down because the land is so valuable or old homes are being added onto in a way that dwarfs the original unit.

So we have lots of different sounds early in the morning. "HEY, CHARLIE, DO YOU REMEMBER WHERE I PUT MY DRILL?

So I'm up and ruminating about blogging issues. I tend to obsess about these things. Right now I am concerned about my new lens. It takes wide angled shots which is nice but if you take shots of buildings they tend to look like an earthquake happened earlier in the day. BAM!! KERLBABLAM .RUMBLE. AAAAAEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

Well enough of that. The other thing is that constant bugabooo COMMENTS. I read about how people are always on the lookout for spam type comments. "Nice post". That type of thing. The only problem being that unless I get really wound up like I am right now I tend to be a man of few words. Beth will tell you about that. So when I go somewhere and comment you are possibly going to get "Nice post" in a way that is most sincere and follows a period of time where I pored over your post with great rapture.

Maybe I should start being more descriptive. "I read your post and am never going to be the same again. When can I fly out and see you in order to share my experience of your post in greater detail. " Now isn't that awful? I can be such a jerk. Larry David needs to start calling me up for material.

But we are what we are and I just don't have that much to say unless something gets me going. BLAM!!!!!!!!!

People like to give reasons why they don't post. "I forgot what I was going to say". "My dog ate my computer" and so forth. My excuse is "I don't want to be confused with a spammer!!"

Sound good? Alright then.

And my last issue this morning has to do with Akismet. I just deleted the absolute worst piece of obnoxious spam that has ever appeared in the western world. It started off with "You can have all this A** for free!" and went downhill from there. Now why can't Akismet just go ahead and delete that right off the bat? Why does it need my help? This stuff is so depressing. And why do they think I need free A**? All they have to do is read my profile and they will see that I am happily married. I have all the free A** that I could ever want! And top quality too! That's why I wanted to sleep late this morning and started bouncing around when I heard the first big BAM! BAM!

Maybe I need to hire Waste MANAGEMENT to come in here and clean things up. BAM! on your head, Mr. Spammer and may you find yourself in the bottom of a trash container very soon.
