I recently ordered a Podium Pad for my Powerbook G-4 ! This might be the best accessory yet for home and mobile computing ! I always find plugging accessories into my laptop un-user friendly ! The Cool-pad allows me to turn my laptop 360 degrees and face my ports as I plug in a USB or Firewire Connection ! No more lifting off of the desk ! The unit is well made and comes in black or white ! Yes it really does dissipate the heat ! The Podium is a real bargain at $29.95 and shipping is extremely reasonable ! Increasing the air space under your laptop will allow better heat dissipation. You can find your own comfort zone with the rock-solid adjustable keyboard tilt feature.
Podium CoolPad and the smaller 'Traveler' Coolpad.
Both versions work with all laptops.
Nothing to attach, just place any laptop on either CoolPad base and the soft rubber holds it securely in place.

Both versions pivot 360 degrees but have just enough resistance so they won't freely pivot while you're typing.

GARAGEBAND.COM IS ON THE AIR! _

Would you turn down $25,000 for a chance at stardom? That's the choice A Thousand Cures might face if they win their 5th day in a row of the "GarageBand Faceoff" this Monday.

Last week our new reality show, "_ GarageBand Faceoff _", started airing at drivetime on FM radio stations across the country. Thanks to support from Cingular and Capitol Records, we're giving our top-rated rock bands the ultimate opportunity: nationwide radio play and a chance to let the public decide whether they should stay on the air.

GarageBand Faceoff mirrors the GB review process, but with a wicked twist. Each day, two songs air head-to-head and America votes for which should return the next day. The winner must then choose between a cash prize and competing another day.

The cash prize grows for every day you win, from $2000 to $4000 to $8000 to $15000 to $25000. This Mon, the band A Thousand Cures might just get their fifth win and will need to choose between $25,000 and proceeding to the final elimination and a chance at a recording contract from Capitol.
