This has been happening since the Clinton Administration! I've heard many people say that the UN basically is or at least was lead by the USA... Since the USA perpetuates the "higher purpose" of adhering the UN, wouldn't that make it a very susceptible target for backdoor law making? The "high purpose" connotation the UN has makes it feel almost as a moral obligation to adhere to it and not ask questions, but that's exactly the problem...
