The physical feeling of gratitude

I just received an e-mail (from a friend) asking me to translate, from Spanish to English, a letter from his friend in Cuba. My heart wept as I read a letter from a family in need of a Nebulizer for their young child who was suffering from bronchitis and often need to take her to the hospital. They stay at home up at night, trying to keep her safe and healthy. The letter was asking my friend to bring a nebulizer on his next trip to Cuba in an effort to help their little one.

Such a simple thing right? Maybe for us, living in the U.S. and in the Western World. But not for this family. The experience was a strong reminder to be grateful and I am to the core of my being. May that feeling spread and may that Cuban little child feel better.
