Given that my own searches for the best freeware utilities have already led me to use many of the same programs, I find this page very credible. It should be very useful for filling in the gaps.

I saw the WBC protestors in town today, and so I thought I would get around to sharing my thoughts on this site. The version of Christianity portrayed here is blasphemy. I mean blasphemy in the sense that Ted Peters uses it in his book Sin: the use of religious symbols or language in a way that robs them of their power to transform people's lives for the better. You don't have to be a Christian to appreciate how the trappings of Christianity help people transform their lives for the better. Many Christians, through their faith in God's love, find life to be more meaningful and find the inspiration to go out and do something good with their lives. But the WBC portrays God as wrathful and hateful, and it doesn't give any reason for becoming a Christian except to avoid going to Hell. This is covert blasphemy, which is the misuse of religious symbols and language in a way that masquerades evil as good. This is contrasted with overt blasphemy, which is open denunciation of religious symbols and languages and what they stand for. The covert blasphemy of the WBC turns the concept of God into the big bully in the sky, who threatens to torture you forever if you don't submit to his whims. There is no comfort in this concept of God nor inspiration to become a good person. The only way I can think of to love and admire such a God is to become a bully yourself and to convince yourself that your bullying God is on your side bullying other people through you. And, in fact, that is what members of the WBC do with their incessant protests.

Is this a Russian version of the Onion? Although it does report true news stories, such as the downing of the two Russian planes, it reports the news with a satirical edge, and some news stories appear to be satire rather than genuine news.
