I did a quick search to find an illustrator tutorial on creating a disco ball but I couldn't find one. So I've decided to write this tutorial to help those interested in creating this awesome disco ball effect. It is actually quite simple, the technique is to create the texture first and map it onto the 3D sphere. However, we will require Illustrator CS and above to create this effect.

There are hundreds of world class wielders of pens, guitars, brushes and cameras that match the might of our gladiators in black and gold. But while our athletes enjoy million dollar stomping grounds on the North Shore, getting all of Pittsburgh's independent art in the same place at the same time has proved difficult. That's where Liquid Sundays steps in.

Liquid Sundays is been bringing together Pittsburgh's best and brightest bands and artists that usually operate under the radar for a local showcase of world-class talent, all for the low, low price of $5 at the door.

The event is held every other month on the first Sunday.

Typically, the night opens up with some words from a poet or writer before moving on to music via a local band or DJ. And whereas most concerts are prone to that transitory lull while bands set up and tear down, show goers are free to mill about and peruse (and perhaps purchase) art on display.

Held in familiar venues, such as the Rex Theatre, Diesel, Club Cafe,' and Garfield Artworks, the intimate setting gives patrons the chance to meet the artists and musicians face-to-face.

One of the most often asked questions about type is: Which faces work well together?

The answer is usually simple: Serif faces work best with sans serif faces, sans serif faces work best with serif faces.

This means that if your body text is Goudy Old Style, a serif face, you should use a sans serif as a companion. Don't use Garamond with Goudy (they're both serif faces), or Futura with Univers (they're both sans). There's simply no reason to use two serifs or two sans together, and it inevitably looks sloppy.

The next step is not quite as simple: Which sans work well with which serifs? Part of the trick is to use faces that have similar feelings. When you use EsperFonto, simply choose serifs and sans in the same category."
