A woman gets on a bus with her baby. The bus driver says: "That's the ugliest baby that I've ever seen. Ugh!" The woman goes to the rear of the bus and sits down, fuming. She says to a man next to her: "The driver just insulted me!" The man says: "You go right up there and tell him off - go ahead, I'll hold your monkey for you".

Songs That Need to be in Rock Band

To those that know me it comes as no surprise that I expect Rock Band to be the best video game since Super Mario Brothers when it comes out in early November. The current song list looks beyond amazing, but of course not every perfect song can be in the initial release. Fortunately in this world of downloadable content, future songs and even complete albums will be available for purchase after the game comes out.

Here's my personal checklist of songs that I require.

I am a rocker. I rock out.

"Love in an Elevator" - Aerosmith

"Back in Black" - AC/DC

"American Idiot" - Green Day

"Smells Like Teen Spirit" - Nirvana

"Rag Doll" - Aerosmith

"Dream On" - Aerosmith

"Fat Bottomed Girls" - Queen

EA Succeeding in Alienating Their Fans
The "Create a Game Face" feature for Tiger Woods 08 has been one of the most frustrating gaming elements I've ever encountered. For those not familiar, the intention is to let you upload high resolution photos to EA's web server, and their algorithms use the front and side facing pictures to create a character that looks like you.

That was the plan, anyway.

Apparently EA severely underestimated the amount of traffic this would generate and they don't own calculators to add up how much bandwidth they would need to handle high resolution photos. The web server does one of the following things:

"Too many connections" error and can't login

You can login but the dashboard never loads

You can't upload images

You can upload images, but can't assign them to your XBox Live account

Awesome guys. And it's all in Flash so there's no way to discern human readable errors. You might think that the Flash is to make everything more secure. No way. You can manually go to the page where you would upload images (skipping login altogether), and witness a slew of system errors.

It's called Quality Assurance, EA. Please explain to me how you can make such great games but make the most nightmarish websites this side of hamsterdance.

Just Imagine the Destruction I Could Cause with that Extra Half Ounce

The day before yesterday I flew from St. Louis to Dallas to visit a friend. Since it was just myself I packed so I could carry it all onto the plane, thus skipping the wonderfulness that is the luggage carousel.

Then the TSA stepped in. RAWR! That hair gel container holds 4 oz. It must go! Hulk smash!

The last I checked the container requirement was 4 oz and under. Now it's 3.5 oz. Lovely. I ended up chucking 4 things: toothpaste, hair gel, contact lens solution and toothpaste.

Like I said, that was two days ago. I don't smell so good...
