Whoa... 800 fans? JUST crossing that symbolic 10% "a fan for every 'Liked' 10 stumbles" barrier that professional -male- stumblers find so elusive. Thanks, I think! ;)

TAG GAME #1: Okay, I have created a new TAG GAME... Only I know the event that is being referenced by this tag... The pages I have selected are all clues. It's not too hard, but the pages could be clues at the conceptual or content level... One clue on this first one: Historical Event.

The tag to stumble: Mysterytag001 (all one word!)

If you guess it, message me and I'll tell you if you're right.

GOOD LUCK!

Project Alien411

Okay, I'm trying to think of fun, interesting ways that we can utilize our tagging functionality with StumbleUpon... Stuff that we can do here that you cannot do easily in, say, del.icio.us or any other tagging system... One thing we can do is PLAY GAMES with tags. So, here is the inaugural SU Tag Game: Alien411

The Premise: Imagine that we can show a stream of web pages to an alien culture. Each Stumbler is allowed to submit ONE AND ONLY ONE Stumble to this compendium of human knowledge. Everything that this alien culture will learn about us will come from the stumbles they see. What would you want to show them? Our state of scientific knowledge, our art, how we communicate, our humor, a warning? It could be anything...

To play, pick your ONE site that you want to have included and tag it "Alien411" (altogether, one word... I checked to make sure that tag is cleared and it is).

To see what people are submitting, simply Stumble Through Tag "alien411" and you'll see the growing list of sites, over time. Make sure you're running the latest version of SU 2.4, btw. And, an easy way to see the Alien411 tag cloud to-date is to select it from my own drop-down list. I will maintain an inventory of all entries for that tag (even off-topic entries)...

Repost this message on your blog if you're going to play, please.

Have fun!
Bradley

Check out the tag "Stumbler Extraordinaire". Looks to be getting some traction. I like that it includes some folks that are not on the traditional well known Top Stumblers lists (yet!)

Also, my personal favorite tag of late: "ick ick ick", which seems to have been co-opted by some of our progressive stumblers :)

(For newer folks: You can stumble through any content tag simply by selecting "Stumble Through Tag" from the drop-down on the toolbar next to "Stumble!")
