The problem is that there are enough uncritical, unthinking, do-nothing-talk-loudly 'christians' to support an effort like this. The Free Market foundation people are intelligent enough to know the hot buttons that send their financial base into orgasmic tremors of fear. And so they push them all in just a few sentences.

I didn't know until today what the one thing would be that I will NEVER EVER do. But I have found it, and it is this: gingerbread houses on the edge of cups. Look at the comments under the article..are we all on the same planet? Other implications of these little houses on a cup: 1. You can only fill a mug 1/3 full so that the bottom of the dough house doesn't soak up even a drop of liquid, because even a drop would ruin it. 2. The moment you lifted the mug to your mouth to have a drink of that 2 oz. of liquid at the bottom of the cup, your nose would bump the dough house hard enough to break it. Guarantee. 3.It looks stupid. It just does. 4. Habitat for Humanity needs volunteers.

the first message of Advent. I like using art at Advent..this one has 100 different pieces running in the background. I kind of like the message, too.

Ha! Why in hell would this thing be called porn, and by whom? There is a couple nipples shown in 2 of the paintings..but, jeez! I'm not going to change it, because it is so absurd and points to something odd in the software somewhere..!

Christmas is the most difficult time for me to write about or talk about in my pastoral role. How many times, after all, has it all been said before?

So I'm challenging myself- we'll call it that. I'm going to try to look at the story from there, instead of *there*.
