Admittedly, this site doesn't contain all mods of eMule, but it does contain the main ones. Very useful for understanding the different features of each more in-depth and for deciding for yourself which you'd prefer.

This is a mod of the original eMule P2P client. Having that said, MorphXT is like the latest version of eMule except that it adds some desirable features such as Upload controls, A4AF controls, and sharing controls.

Plus, the ninja mule looks cool, too.

As the site says, they provide an open-source infrastructure for open-source project. It has many features related to SVN, except that it's much more intuitive depending on the git client that you are using.

It's the realm of P2P legality. If it's not legal to distribute, then it's not available on the ContentDB.

Aside from the possibility of taking days to download for rare files, there is nothing wrong with eMule.
