This one is just DYING for me to pick apart.
"OLATHE, Kan. -- A disagreement between the United States and Vietnam could devastate a local couple's adoption plan."
Okay, this isn't just a MINOR disagreement, this is about forced surrenders, and child trafficking. Who gives a crap about the "adoption plan" children are being stolen, bought, bargained, sold then marketed as orphans to appeal to the American adoption demand. These people can NOT be serious. Apparently they are quite serious because after all...

"Heidi Fenton has a closet full of baby girl clothes. She and her husband have been trying to adopt an infant from Vietnam."

Me thinks Mrs. Fenton needs to step outside of the baby clothing department and walk on down to the US Embassy and have a look around.

However, Vietnam stopped taking adoption applications from Americans on Sept. 1 following a U.S. Embassy report of infants being sold and mothers being pressured to give up their babies
Lets talk about the warning being issued right now by the US:

"Recent field investigations have revealed incidents of serious adoption irregularities, including forged or altered documentation, mothers paid, coerced or tricked into releasing their children, and children offered for adoption without the knowledge or consent of their birth parents. "and lets compare that to what Mr and Mrs. Fenton are complaining about...what was that again?

Heidi Fenton has a closet full of baby girl clothes
and there was also this:

The Fentons have been working with an adoption agency for 18 months and they have spent $10,000 on the adoption so far. Heidi Fenton estimates it will cost a total of $30,000.

Dang it they have spent all of that money and for what? Two governments to have a "disagreement"now make up and give us our baby?!?!

Nevermind the fact that this exact type of mentality is a driving force behind the existance of the adoption industry that so many children are being stolen, sold, violated and exploited for. Just turn a blind cheek to the fact to these baby scoop eras happening right now in too many countries.

When will we as a society stop settling for the exploitation of women, children and fathers? What are people like the couple above thinking when they complain about a closet full of clothing when women, children and families are being exploited to "supply" the "demand." Americans are adopting more than any other country, infact more international adoptions happen than all of the other countries of our world,( participating in international adoption) combined. What is it about our society that so many are choosing to overlook the reality of "adoption" and the industry they are supporting by adopting. Is this really the American Dream?
