AlainSaffel - Jason Gambert sounds like bit of a moron with a lot of time on his hands. I suspect he's not doing much SEO work, which is why he tries to trademark it.

In business, why do some people focus so much of their energy on fighting with everyone else and causing problems, instead of actually doing their jobs?

I guess if you don't have talent, you find other ways to become "successful."

RMonkeyGirl - "Jason Gambert" has applied for registration of the term "SEO" with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. This is one of the most bogus trademark issues to date and as his alter egos prove, Jason's intentions are less than pure.

theGypsy - Rhea Drysdale - Search Engine Journal - We'll let "Jason's" actions speak for themselves and we ask that you draw your own conclusions based on the evidence before us. If Jason Gambert has such noble aspirations for the search community, why then is he hiding behind a veil of secrecy? And, is this the type of individual that should be responsible for setting SEO standards that everyone must follow before being granted usage of the term?
