Was just talking to my mom, who was looking online for a religious medal for my nephew's First Communion this weekend. His patron saint, St. Julian, status is currently being reevaluated by the Church (he was the patron saint of murderers, he he). So, she googled Saint Clinton, and came up with this. She decided to go with Saint Sebastian, the patron saint of athletes. Safe choice.

kevinjjones - These jackasses don't realize just how messed up it is to replace the face on a Sacred Heart of Jesus image with an image of a Caesar. I double-dog dare them to try it with a muslim image(and yes, they do exist).

Casually disassembling a religion for spare parts. Shameful.

From the page: "Saint Clinton's image on these keepsake items will remind you of better times (four years ago) when you had enough money to eat at a nice restaurant, get your car washed, or take the day off work."

Check out the St. Clinton lunch box!... or the coasters!

stimulantcaplets -

I know this is a joke, but the funny part is, Saint Clinton is actually a very soothing presence. The sense of acceptance and forgiveness he exudes contrasts sharply with the condemnatory, judgmental spirit that seems to characterize the Religious Right today -- especially towards Clinton himself.

If you believe in Jesus, and this image offends you, remember that it is part of God's perfect plan and the artist will burn in Hell forever.
