Israel uses the segregated roads and checkpoints to isolate people within particular cities, resulting in de facto open-air prisons that elderly Ashkenazi would remember as a ghetto.

Israel practices collective punishment by enforcing curfews and blocking shipments of food and fuel into these ghettos.

Israel destroys crops and orchards to destroy the livelihood of the ghettos' inhabitants. Israel targets the civilian infrastructure of ghettos to make them unlivable. I srael bulldozes homes and refuses to issue permits to rebuild houses.

When these atrocities were inflicted upon the Jewish people, we called it kristallnacht.

Israelis have learned their lesson from centuries of oppression. Unfortunately, the lesson was not "oppression of ethnic minorities is hurtful and wrong." The lesson seems to be how to oppress.

Israel clearly is trying to drive the people from the land so that Jewish religious zealots can settle on the land. "Germany for Germans" is slogan that the Nazis used to rally the German people to expel the Jewish people from German soil. Now Israelis shout that Israel should be for Jews only. The Jewish people have learned their lesson well.

What we have in Palestine is ethnic cleansing. Israel is a racist Apartheid state in the same mold as pre-war Germany.

It was wrong when Germany did it.
It was wrong when South Africa did it.
It was wrong when Serbia did it.

It is wrong now when Israel does it.

Israel funded Hamas beginning in the late 1970s to undermine Yasir Arafat and to torpedo the peace process.
