<description><![CDATA[<b>megsu</b> - More about the McCain lie from the NYT.  Did he cheat?  He certainly had the opportunity, and his campaign's non-denial doesn't do anything to remove any doubt for the public.  The fact that McCain is a POW does confer saintly qualities upon him nor should it protect him from questions about his actions.  

McCain wasn't there when he agreed to be.  To avoid the appearance of impropriety, he/his campaign should have informed the moderator of what had occurred and he should have withdrawn from the forum.   He didn't do the right thing and now he's being called on it, as he should be.]]></description>
