Tim Russert -- 1950 - 2008

Can't let the passing of Tim Russert go by without saying something. Forget the fact that he was a spectacular newsman and that he could humble the most powerful of politicians with his wickedly insightful questions -- above that he was a real human being who cared about others and who exemplified all that it meant to be a good father . . . and a good son. His peers have trouble talking about him without weeping -- their loss is immense. Our loss is great as well. Tim Russert has died, but along the way he taught us to live. Thank you Tim.

Liz-Corde - Sunday Mornings and Elections just won't be the same anymore. I was so looking forward to seeing this year's presidential debates and coverage with Mr. Russert as I've always enjoyed watching him on every election as well as "Meet The Press." A professional on every level he was a true fair and balanced journalist and a great human being who will be sadly missed.

I am so sad. I feel as though a member of my family has died.

So much of what I knew about politics and America I learned from Tim Russert.
He was fair, balanced and unbiased; he had a fabulous sense of humor and he was a man of integrity.
He explained things in a way that enabled me to understand.

Tim Russert was every man, the best of the best. He was just so human.

My deepest condolences to his wife, son and father.

Rest in peace Mr Russert.
